Miscellaneous The AmigoClub.me portal is the real added value of the Amigo/AmigoClub ecosystem. The AmigoClub.me portal allows contact persons to communicate with the Amigo user via Skype and e-mails, set some useful parameters on the tablet such as sound volume or font size. One can set preferences for the Amigo user, i.e. Internet favorites, or schedule very useful alerts to provide assistance to the Amigo user in his/her daily activities. Only contact persons who have been invited through this portal will be allowed to communicate with the Amigo user, keeping this person safe from any phishing attempt, viruses or spamming. The Amigo and the AmigoClub portal create a particularly safe communication environment for the elderly and his/her entourage. This guide describes how to invite new members of the family and new friends to join the circle of contact persons and explains all features accessible from the portal. The portal design is very user-friendly and you will quickly become familiar with it.   Please have a look at all user's guides available on the "Help" menu of the Portal. You may find the Starter Tips to be particularly useful   We wish you lots of fun and very rewarding exchanges amongst all correspondents of the Amigo! Your AmigoClub

Log in Access the portal AmigoClub with your computer, your smartphone or your tablet via the Internet by entering the following address in your browser: my.amigoclub.me Connect with the Amigo by entering the email address that you provided when you registered to the AmigoClub as well as your password. These were sent to you by email. If you are in contact with several Amigos, select the one that you are wishing to communicate with. You are now logged in to the homepage of the AmigoClub portal.

Main menus The six menus framed in green below give access to all the features of the Amigo. These are described in the following pages. The most commonly used features are also accessible by clicking on the ten different pictograms displayed on this screen.

Menu « OVERVIEW » Brings you back to the homepage from any other page of the portal. Menu « COMMUNICATION » Provides access to all communication functions between the contact persons and the Amigo user: Play online: start a game with the Amigo user. 1.  Choose the game you want to play with the

Amigo user by clicking on the corresponding icon.

2.  The Amigo user receives an invitation to launch the game. He/She has the choice to accept or reject your invitation.

3.  If accepted, the game starts. The Amigo and the portal both indicate whose turn it is to play.

4.  Carry the game on until it's finished. You can interrupt the game at any time. In such a case, the ongoing game will not be saved and it will be erased.

Share photo: send a picture to the Amigo user.

1.  Click "New photo". 2.  Click "Choose file" and select a photo from your

library. 3.  Optional: add a description of the photo. 4.  Select whether this photo should be visible by

all other contact persons of the Amigo. 5.  Click "Share". The picture is now sent to the

Amigo. The Amigo user will receive an alert warning that a new picture has arrived, showing the name of the sender.

You can also send one or several photos to the Amigo user attaching them to an email sent from your current email account.

Share video: Send a video to the Amigo user. 1.  Click "New Video". 2.  Click "Choose File" and select a video from your

library. 3.  Optional: add a description of the video. 4.  Select whether the video should be visible by

all other contact persons of the Amigo. 5.  Click "Share". The video is now sent to the

Amigo. The Amigo user will receive an alert warning that a new video has arrived, showing the name of the sender.

Send message: send an e-mail message to the Amigo user 1.  Click "New Message". 2.  Type your message by filling out the fields

"Subject" and "Content". 3.  Click "Send". Your message is now sent to the

Amigo. The Amigo user will receive an alert warning that a new message has arrived, showing the name of the sender.

4.  You can view all sent and received messages and delete them, should you wish so.

Do note that emails may also be sent directly from your traditional email client (such as Gmail, Outlook, Mail for Mac etc.). Please check that you are registered as a contact person with this same email address. Use your current email account if you wish to enclose a document to your message (.pdf, .doc or .jpg). If you wish to communicate with the Amigo user via different email addresses, please register them individually by following "My Account", "My details" and "Email aliases" at the bottom of the screen.

Video Calls : start a Skype call with the Amigo user. Warning: Skype calls sometimes require specific account settings on the contact person's side. If a problem occurs, please check the Calling with Skype manual on the "Help" menu of the AmigoClub portal. 1.  Check that your Skype application is open on

your computer, your smartphone or your tablet.

2.  Click "Call Amigo » 3.  The Amigo rings and shows that you wish to

speak with the Amigo user, who has the choice to accept or reject your call.

4.  If the video call is rejected, a message appears on your screen. If it is accepted, the Amigo calls you automatically back: you will receive an incoming Skype call that you will accept by clicking on the green "phone" icon. Do not forget to activate your webcam, allowing the Amigo user to see you.

5.  Always end your call by clicking on the red "phone" icon.

Agenda: Register a new appointment on the Amigo and view existing appointments. 1.  Click "New Appointment". 2.  Fill in the different fields. Some are mandatory,

others are optional. 3.  You can associate a video to an appointment:

this feature allows you for example to send a videotaped demonstration, a tutorial on therapy exercises or other video message.

4.  Click "Save”. The new appointment will now be displayed on the Agenda of the Amigo.

New invitation: invite a person to join the circle of the Amigo's contact persons. 1.  Insert the email address of the person you wish

to invite. Make sure that this address is valid. 2.  Fill in the different fields. Clearly define the

user's role that you want to assign to the new contact person: -  Communication only -  Communication and Care -  Communications, Care and Administration

3.  Click "Send". The invitation remains valid for 7 days during which the recipient has the choice to accept or reject it.

Menu « CARE » The following care functions are accessible to you if you have been assigned a “Care” role: Medication: Opens the screen for programming medication reminders: 1.  Click "New medication". 2.  Insert the medication name and the days of the

week that it should be taken. 3.  Click "Save » 4.  Insert time of administration and dose, then

click "Add" The Amigo user will receive a sound and visual alert on the scheduled time, with the name and the dose of the medication to be taken. Different scheduled times must be separated by at least five minutes, otherwise an error message will be displayed on your screen.!

Warning: if you wish to change the settings for a medication, we recommend that you start by entering the new settings (time, dose), click on "Add" and then erase the previous settings for this same medication. Documents: contact persons have the possibility to store useful documents related to the care of the Amigo user, such as prescriptions, care programs, etc. These documents will only accessible on the portal by authorized persons (see menu "INVITATIONS") and are not visible on the Amigo. Care logbook : contact persons have the possibility to manage a care booklet listing key information about the Amigo user, to be shared with the family, caregivers or home care attendants. The care logbook is only accessible on the portal by authorized persons (see menu "INVITATIONS") and is not visible on the Amigo.

Limited access: only persons with a “care” role will be able to activate Care functions on the Amigo tablet.

"Good Morning" message : schedule a "Good Morning" message on chosen days and hours. The Amigo will ring and display the "Good Morning" message on the chosen days and hours. This message must be acknowledged by the Amigo user by simply touching the Amigo screen. You can schedule via the portal to receive an email or an SMS alert if the "Good Morning" message is not acknowledged within a predetermined amount of time, allowing you to call the Amigo user and check that he/she is doing well. This alert can be scheduled by following "My Account" and "My preferences" menus.

Menu « AMIGO ADMINISTRATION » Provides access to all settings of the Amigo in order to adapt it as close as possible to its user's needs: Amigo user - Preferences Set all the Amigo user preferences: -  General settings: Starting delay for the

"Slideshow" and the standby black screen, sound volume, font size, style web buttons, authorizations for the Amigo.

-  Home screen buttons: by clicking on one of these buttons, it will fade and no longer be displayed on the Home screen of Amigo after rebooting it. You can remotely reboot the Amigo by following "Amigo Administration", "Amigo monitor" and "Reboot". Rebooting the Amigo will take about 2 minutes.

-  News Sources: make your choice from an existing list of information sources that will feed the "Info" menu of the Amigo.

-  Internet favorites: you can preset up to 6 websites which will be very easily accessible to the Amigo user, simply by touching the "Internet" button of the Amigo. Make your choice from an existing list of suggested websites on the portal, in different languages. You can also customize your choice via the "Custom" menu.!

-  Amigo Monitor: displays the status and activity of the Amigo, checks the battery loading percentage and shows if the Amigo is correctly connected to the power. The "Reboot" button allows to remotely reboot the Amigo and the "Screenshot" button allows to remotely see what is currently displayed on the Amigo screen in order to possibly bring assistance to the Amigo user, if needed.

  -  Invitations: displays the list and status of

invitations (invitation sent, accepted, expired, revoked).

The button "Invite to join circle" will launch a new invitation. Click on "Invite new contact". Clearly define the user's role that you want to assign to the new contact person: - Communication only - Communication and Care -  Communications, Care and Administration

Do not assign the Administration roles to too many contact persons in order to keep a better control of all undertaken actions

Menu « MY ACCOUNT » Set here all your preferences, as an Amigo contact person: My preferences: - General notifications: set up the notifications

you wish to receive. - "Good Morning": set up the alerts you wish to

receive if the "Good morning" message is not acknowledged by the Amigo user.

- Newsletter: register to receive the Amigo newsletter. Set on by default.

  My details - Shows all the details associated with your

account. You can edit each of these settings by clicking the "Edit" button. You also have the option to attach a photo to your account or change it (it is linked to your name on the Amigo screen), to edit your password to access to the portal and to link to your account other email addresses you may use to communicate with the Amigo user (aliases).

  My invoices - Displays the list of open invoices, if you have

chosen to be the person paying for part or all elements of the service.

  Logout - Click this button to logout from the AmigoClub

portal.

Homepage description Amigo user

The AmigoClub.me portal allows you to communicate with several Amigos, would you be the contact person for more than one Amigo user. Here are the different Amigos with which you are currently connected: - User's name - Status of the Amigo: online or offline - Last use of the Amigo Click on the "Other Amigos" button or on the Amigo Portal logo to reach the list of all Amigos for which you are identified as a contact person.

These icons give you easy and direct access to all communication and care functions with the Amigo, as described above.

Amigo agenda

Displays all future appointments that are inserted in the calendar of the Amigo, with dates and hours, descriptions, location and possible options. Click "Open calendar" to add, edit or delete an appointment. Limited access: only authorized contact persons have the ability to interact with the calendar of the Amigo user.

Click on the blue banner for a fast and easy management of new invitations. Feel free to share the portal with other contact persons to entertain and bring happiness in the Amigo user's daily life!
