• TheClipSGDisshippedwithdefaultalarmlevelsettings.Itistheusersresponsibilitytoensurethealarmlevelsettingsareappropriateforthespecificapplication;thesecanbechangedasrequiredviatheIR_Link_PCSoftware.

• Gasconcentrationmeasurementsbythesensorcanvarybasedontheenvironment(temperature,pressureandhumidity).ThereforecalibrationofClipSGDshouldbeperformedinthesame(orsimilar)environmentofthedevice’sactualuse.

• Severevibrationorshocktothedevicemaycauseasuddengasreadingchange.PleaseuseClipSGDafterthevalueofgasconcentrationhasstabilized.

• ExcessiveshocktoClipSGDcancausethedeviceand/orsensortomalfunction.• Ifthetemperaturechangessharplyduringuseofthedevice(forexamplemovingfromindoorstooutdoors),thevalueofthemeasuredgasconcentrationcansuddenlychange.PleaseusetheClipSGDafterthegasconcentrationvaluehasstabilized.

• Thedeviceisintendedforuseinnormalatmosphericconditions,pressure80kPa(0.8bar)to110kPa(1.1bar);andairwithnormaloxygencontent,typically21%v/v(volume/volume).

Only activate in a safe environment.Pressthebuttonfor3secs;gastypeandfirmwareversion(e.g.v2.2)willbedisplayed.Followingthe10secscountdown,thedevicewillbefullyactivated,the V iconwillflashonthedisplayscreenandthedevicewillbeinGasMeasurementmode.Afterturningonthedevice,theremaininglifeisdisplayed;23monthsoriginally.Aftertheremaininglifereaches1month,30daysremainingisdisplayed.When1dayisleft,24hours(T)remainingisdisplayed.

3. Mode

3.1 Gas Measurement Mode

FollowingactivationthedevicewilloperateinGasMeasurementMode.Theremainingsensorlife(defaultsetting)orgasconcentration(configurableoption)willbedisplayedonthescreen.Oxygenconcentrationisdisplayedinpercentbyvolume(%Vol)andtoxicconcentrationisdisplayedinpartspermillion(PPM).

3.2 Display Device Settings

InGasMeasurementModetoviewthedevicesettingspressthebuttontocyclethroughthesettings.Thesettingswillbedisplayedinthefollowingorderuponeachbuttonpress.

7. Self Test and Bump Test

7.1 Self Test

TheClipSGDprovidesaSelfTestfunction.ThedefaultintervaloftheSelfTestreminderis20hrs.UsetheIRLinkorDockingStationtoconfiguretheintervalbetween1hrand20hrs,orsetto“off”.WhentheconfiguredSelfTestisdue,“STS”willflashonthescreen(themessagewillcontinuetoflashuntiltheuserperformsasuccessfulSelfTest).

• PressthebuttontoinitiatetheSelfTestfunction.Thedevicewillperformaselftestbyoperatingthebuzzer,LED’s,vibratorandLCD.Itwillalsoshowtheconfiguredlowandhighalarmsetpointsonthedisplay.Afterthetestiscompleted,“END”willbedisplayedonthescreen.(Theuserisrequiredtocheckthattheitemsoperatedintheselftest,performedasexpected).

7.2 Bump Test

ThedevicecanbeconfiguredtoprovideanonscreenBumpTestreminder.ThedefaultsettingfortheBumpTestreminderis“off”,noBumpTestreminderwillbedisplayed.IfaBumpTestreminderintervalisrequireditcanbeconfiguredusingtheIRLinkorDockingStation.Theintervalcanbeconfiguredfrom1dayto365days.WhenconfiguredandaBumpTestisdue,the“bts”messagebedisplayedandwillflashonthescreen.

1.1. Limited Warranty

CrowconwarrantsthisproducttobefreefromdefectsinmaterialandworkmanshipundernormaluseandserviceforaperiodoftwoyearsbeginninguponthedateofactivationforallClipSGDproducts.Thiswarrantyisvalidonlyifthepersonalmonitorisactivatedbythe‘activateby’dateontheexternalpackaging.Thiswarrantyextendsonlytothesaleofnewandunusedproductstotheoriginalbuyer.Shouldthebatterydepletepriortothe24monthsofactivation,thiswilldemonstratethatthemonitor(s)haveexperienced>2900alarmminutesandwillthereforebeclassedasoutsidewarranty.

ProductswillnotbeacceptedforwarrantywithoutaCrowconReturnsNumber(CRN).Itisessentialthattheaddresslabelissecurelyattachedtotheouterpackagingofthereturnedgoods.Theguaranteewillberenderedinvalidiftheinstrumentisfoundtohavebeenaltered,incorrectlystored,modified,dismantled,tamperedwith,orhasnotusedCrowconsparesforreplacementpartsincludingsensors)orhasbeenservicedorrepairedbyanypartynotauthorisedandcertifiedbyCrowcontodoso.Thewarrantydoesnotcovermisuseorabuseoftheunitincludinguseoutsideofspecifiedlimits.

Crowconacceptnoliabilityforconsequentialorindirectlossordamagehowsoeverarising(includinganylossordamagearisingoutoftheuseoftheinstrument)andallliabilityinrespectofanythirdpartyisexpresslyexcluded.Thiswarrantydoesnotcovertheaccuracyofthecalibrationoftheunitorthecosmeticfinishoftheproduct.Theunitmustbemaintainedinaccordancewiththeinstructionsinthismanual.Thewarrantyonreplacementconsumableitemssuppliedunderwarrantytoreplacefaultyitems,willbelimitedtotheunexpiredwarrantyoftheoriginalsupplieditem.Crowconreservestherighttodetermineareducedwarrantyperiod,ordeclineawarrantyperiodforanysensorsuppliedforuseinanenvironmentorforanapplicationknowntocarryriskofdegradationordamagetothe
