Port Neches Riverfront Plan
The project is centered on an 80-acre tract of land along
the undeveloped Neches River. The heart of the project
is a 20-acre central park to include an event space for
riverfront festivals and a variety of large and small
community events, attracting a variety of users. A small
retail and restaurant development with direct access to
a new marina and transient boat mooring facilities will
be connected to the park by a riverfront promenade.
Portions of the land are also slated for a nature park
that will highlight the ecology of the Neches River
watershed, as well as the industrial history of the City.
A small community of neo-traditional homes is also
envisioned for the project.
