lifestyle around the small appliance brand was created to foster its success the retail market. Situated in James St, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, the project is deemed a viable prospect for the future of retail design.

A chopstick holder created to emphasise the importance of using sustainable resources in a environmentally responsible manner. Created by imposing a lino print motif inspired by the microscopic view of a bamboo cross section and its young shoot form.

Represented QUT at the Hong Kong Graphic Art Fiesta 2011

A furniture piece utilising the hydraulic properties of syringes to create movement and interactivity. Designed for airports, playing on the irony of an illicit item within a secure environment.

A collaborative project between QUT School of Design and Artisan gallery to create ‘small-scale retail and exhibition design projects’.

This project follows the trend of ‘upcycle, recycle and repurpose’, utilising old picture frames to create a installation that frames in a non-conventional manner.

Project team: Karlee Blackburn, Simone Lockley, James Luu, Jonathan Morehen and Vanessa Parker.

Street Pedalers was a development geared towards the growing nature of a bicycle lifestyle. The project was situated in Newstead where the locationwas ideal for a cycle school and adjoiningcafe would be a future hub for cyclists. The project took inspiration from the three colours of tra�c lights as a form of way�nding and uniting design element
