2 Introduction

This booklet is designed to help you plan activities in a park or playground to suit your needs.

The many parks and playgrounds throughout Clarence provide opportunities for a variety of activities for local families and visitors.

Suburban play-parks provide play opportunities for children, family gatherings can be enjoyed at scenic picnic and barbecue areas, and bush reserves are popular with walkers.

A disability accessible swing is available at Simmons Park in Lindisfarne and gymnasium equipment at Bellerive Beach Park.

Walking tracks, beaches and a network of cycle-ways add to the diversity of experiences Clarence offers.

To keep our outdoor areas safe and clean please take your rubbish home with you, or use the bins provided.

Dogs are allowed in some parks but should never be allowed off-lead near children’s playgrounds and must always be under effective control. Always clean up after your dog.
