What is it and why?• The Pop-Up Monastery is a part of the Young

Women’s Strategy of the EFECW (decision: Loccum 2010)

• “Pop-Up” means to appear for some time in one place, close, and open again in another

• It will give women of different generations an opportunity to spend a week together sharing experiences in a modern monastic community (worshiping together, workshops, ecumenical exchange) – and helping to build the future of the forum
