Through public performance, we aim to enhance the profile of LGBT people, particularly in Brighton and Hove, and to contribute to the quality and range of community events. As part of our commitment to the local community, we aim to make donations to other organisations from the proceeds of our concerts. Over the years, we have performed music encompassing many genres and eras, from show tunes to classical and from the 17th century to the present day. Our identity as a gay and lesbian community choir informs much of our programming, so in this 2010 Festi- val Fringe concert we tread a very different path after last year’s performance of ‘Choral Propaganda’ and Handel’s Messiah in December. That doesn’t mean that we are strangers to the kind of material in this concert though, having performed West Side Story and sung with Hazel O’Connor twice! So, not only do we enjoy the challenge of singing such a wide variety of styles but we enjoying giving our audience something different and perhaps a little bit unexpected whilst making for an enjoyable evening.
