The Origins…

Pop Art emerged in the mid-1950’s in Britain and in US in the end of the 50’s.

In this collage, the word “Pop” makes it first apperance. Shortly thereafter, the movement was named Pop Art.

What is Pop Art?

POP ART

Pop Art is an art movement, which uses the imagery, styles, and themes of advertising, mass media, and popular culture.

Inspiration and ideas for Pop Art paintings were drawn from the commercial and consumer aspects of everyday life, particularly in American culture.

Pop Art paintings are easy to interpret, They do not have hidden symbolism. And this type of art is available to everyone.
