large-scale production
Modern production of ammonia is based on virtually waste-free technology with minimal emissions
The main problems are gas emissions - ammonia NH3, carbon oxides CO and CO2 and flue gases
Ammonia losses are possible in the production process from the synthesis column and before pouring liquid ammonia rail cars.
The most significant emissions ammonia to atmosphere occur in blowing equipment with inert gases
Ammonia flow to the atmosphere through various leaks equipment, valves.

Manufacture of nitric acid comprises several stages:
• NH3 ammonia oxidation by air oxygen to form nitric oxide (NO) at 800 - 850 ° C over a platinum catalyst
• homogeneous oxidation of nitric oxide to nitrogen dioxide (N02):
• absorption of nitrogen dioxide and nitric acid to obtain:
• cleaning of exhaust gases.
Nitric acid
industry production of nitric acid is accompanied by (0.15-0.30%) in the exhaust gases.
