various professions like a
musician, working at aradio station.
Finally he ended up becoming a multi-mixermilkshake machine sales-man, whichenabled him to travel across the country.

Selling the milkshake machines to everyrestaurant that opened he partnered with theMcDonald brothers in opening the
McDonald’s franchise.
In 1961 he purchased the company from the
McDonald brothers for $2.7 million.

Worked as a Musician at various placesaround 1922.
In 1937 invented the multi-mixer which couldserve 5 glasses at a time.
In 1941 founded his own company to solelydistribute the multi-mixer.

Met McDonald brothers in 1954, after somenegotiations they joined Ray Kroc inpartnership.
The first McDonald’s restaurant was openedon 15th April, 1955 at Des Plaines, Illinois.
It recorded a sale of $ 366.12 on the first day.

By 1961 there were 130 McDonald’s outletsand in that very year Ray Kroc boughtMcDonald’s for $ 2.7 million.
By 1984 McDonald’s had 8300 restaurants in34 countries with sales of $ 10 billion.
Mass production of food products withuniformity was the biggest achievement.
