The Centre For Women’ Studies at TISS is happy to announce this two days Seminar- Workshop which will be lead by Prof. Stevi Jackson from University of York , UK. Feminist theory, feminist politics and sexuality: issues and problems. 2. Sexuality, intimacy and modernity: challenging the ethnocentrism of western mainstream theory. 3. Global sexual connections: sex-tourism, trafficking and the trans-national marriage market 4. New sexual cultures and dissident sexualities: modernisation and westernisation reconsidered. Number of participants: up to a maximum of 20 Venue: Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai Dates: January 14-15, 2009 Working hours 10.00 to 5.30 pm Number of Sessions (per day): 4 Fees: Rs 100. Workshop is free for TISS participants (Workshop fees are inclusive of refreshments and lunch.)
