Pontiac Grand Am 4 Door Ground Effects Installation All parts should be pre-fitted prior to painting. To pre-fit parts, you must first remove any side cladding and rocker panels. In order to have a great looking finished product, you must follow all instructions, including prepping, painting and installation. Urethane Preparation First wipe all parts with a de-greasing solvent. After parts have been thoroughly cleaned the paintable surfaces must be scratched lightly with 200 sandpaper or scotch pad so that the paint will adhere to the surfaces. All parts must be primed with a flexible sandable primer. Any pinholes or inperfections can be filled with spot primer filler. Remember that the preparation makes the difference! Fiberglass preparation First lightly sand surfaces and prime with a sandable primer. All final sanding should be block sanded to insure a flat surface. Installation of 4 door Door Panels and Rockers 1. All surfaces of vehicle to which tape will come in contact with, must be throughly cleaned of dirt and wax (prepsolution, or laquer thinner) prior to application. An adhesion promoter is highly recommended. 2. Door panels should be installed first. They must be flush with bottom and back edge of the door. Check opening of door and making sure that panels do not interfere or touch.

4. Remove tape and adhere rocker to rocker panel starting from the front and working to the rear. 5. Secure Panels to inner fender well with self tapping screws

3. Rocker panels should match top of door panels. Pull off tape protector about 6” at a time
