D.O. Ribeira Sacra. Schists (Castro Caldelas) and black slate (O Saviñao). Steep slopes . South (Castro Caldelas) and West (O Saviñao). 530 m in Castro Caldelas and 410 m in O Saviñao. Atlantic, with continental influence 1020 mm 13,43ºC 100% Albariño. 7 to 19 years 4,500 cepas/ha. Integrated. Simply Guyot. 7,000 kg/hectare (50 hL/ha). Manually in 18 kg boxes. 26th September. De-stemmed Albariño and maceration for 6 hours, crushed, pressed with a pneumatic press. The must is clarified and fermented at 18 ºC for 10 days. Then aged in a steel vat over its lees for 5 months. A small amount ferments in a 500 L French oak barrel with subsequent aging on the lees. 18th April 2017. 6,700 bottles. Greenish yellow. With good intensity and complexity, the nose has hints of lemon notes to jam, apricot, melón, lavender and smoke. Beginning with plenty of body, excellently balanced thanks to an elegantly acidic, lively touch. A very pure wine with a mineral expression, tasty and persistent. Although Albariño 2016 is already very expressive and ready for drinking, it will reach its full potential from February - March 2018, developing its own personality over the next 6 years. We recommend decanting Ponte da Boga Albariño 2016 before serving at 10ºC.
