Students applying for a University package wil l require at least an IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 570 (PBT) or 230 (CBT) or 88 (iBT) or equivalent.

Admission Requirements for TAFE Courses

English Language Requirements for Entry to TAFE ProgramsStudents who want to s tudy courses at TAFE have the i r Eng l i sh leve ls assessed on one of the fo l lowings:

• An IELTS ( Internat iona l Eng l i sh Language Test ing System) 5.5 Academic tes t ,

• A TOEFL (Test of Eng l i sh as a Fore ign Language) 530 pr in t based tes t ,

• A TOEFL 197 Computer based tes t ,

• A TOEFL 71 Internet based tes t , o r

• A TAFE WA Test ( resu l ts wi l l determine requ i red s tandard to enter a TAFE course).

Please note ETI reserves the right to require any student, whose actual English performance is found not to be consistent with the IELTS scores they presented with their Application form, to sit an independent English test as determined by ETI.
