Tyco polyethylene pipe is manufactured from PE80 or PE100+ materials in sizes from 20 mm to 1000 mm OD. Tyco’s polyethylene range is available for pressure and gravity applications including the transportation of potable water, wastewater, outfalls and gas.

Tyco’s TYCO10 polyethylene pipe with 10% damage depth indicator is available in sizes from 90 mm to 630 mm OD.

Tyco moulded polyethylene fi ttings are available in both black and blue PE100+ materials for potable water, wastewater and industrial applications. Rated in pressures up to PN16.

Tyco’s fabricated fi ttings are available in standard and special confi gurations in sizes 63 to 1000 mm OD for pressure and gravity systems. Manufactured from either PE80 or PE100+ standard or special pipe sections and suitable for potable water, wastewater and industrial applications.

Backfl ow Prevention

Backfl ow prevention maintains the integrity of potable water systems by preventing the infi ltration of non potable water back into the water supply system when either the water supply is stopped for maintenance or the pressure in a system connected to the water supply becomes greater than the water supply pressure (like a supply tank).

In some cases the risk is low (swimming pool siphoning back into the pipeline) in other cases the risk can be high such as weed & pest spraying tankers connecting to water supplies.

Tyco Water offers a complete range of backfl ow preventers from 15mm for a house connection to 300mm for an industrial park in various hazard levels from single check low risk applications to reduced pressure zone (RPZ) for high risk.

Cone valves are designed to discharge large volumes of water in either an aerated form to atmosphere or below the waterline in dams. The objective is end of line discharge that prevents the water scouring or damaging the surrounding environment by dispersing it in a soft conical or “Umbrella” shape.

These valves are typically used in dams and hydro electric power stations as turbine bypass valves where they must discharge large volumes of water that can contain a signifi cant amount of debris without jamming.

The valve are generally fabricated to order from steel and use a conical taper as closing plug to disburse the water.

Cone Discharge Valves

Tyco Water’s Tyton® joint Ductile iron pipes are used extensively throughout the region for the transmission of potable, salt, HVAC Condenser water and waste in civil construction and building services.

Tyco manufactures Ductile Iron pressure pipe and fi ttings to international standards EN545, EN598, ISO 2531, AS/NZS 2280 with Zinc-Bitumen coating and various lining options including cement mortar, epoxy lined cement, Bitumen seal coat, and / or Sulphate resistant cement.

To compliment the pipe Tyco offers a complete range of high quality fusion bonded epoxy coated and Zinc bitumen cement lined ductile iron fi ttings in fl anged, spigot and Tyton® socket end confi gurations from DN80-DN800.

Sintakote® is a factory applied fusion bonded polyethylene coating recognised by the water industry as the premium corrosion system for steel pipelines and fi ttings. Sintakote® pipe, cement mortar lining and rubber ring joints provide a 120 year no maintenance pipeline system.

Sintapipe® is the application of Sintakote® both externally and internally to the steel as a continuous coating

and lining for aggressive media applications such as reuse and desalination water, sewer and waste water.

Sintalock® is a restrained rubber ring joint that eliminates the need for anchor blocks or internal welds and reinstatement of the joint.

Sintakote pipe & fi ttings are available from DN300-DN2500 in rubber ring, welded and plain end joints.

Needle Valves

Needle valves perform a variety of functions including:

• Pressure reduction• Flow control• End of line discharge• Cavitation management

In pressure reduction, needle valves can accommodate large pressure reductions in a single step, as much as 20+ bar pressure differential. They are used to dissipate energy in dams and hydro applications and reduce pressure in pipelines from high altitudes.

In fl ow control needle valves provide very low head loss, making them perfect for pumped applications. They provide highly accurate lineal fl ow control from only 4% open, making them ideal for control of large fl ows of raw water in treatment plants and pipelines.

In end of line discharge to atmosphere or below the water line needle valves are ideal to control the discharge of large fl ows into reservoirs and dams, eliminating cavitation risks associated with other valve types.

Needle valves are specifi cally designed to manage cavitation that occurs in fl uids whenever there are changes in pressure and fl ow.

Erhard needle valves are manufactured from DN100 – DN2000 for use with Air, Raw & potable water and industrial process water.

Tyco manufactures a complete range of high quality air valve network protection products for all applications. Single, double and triple acting air valves are available for water and wastewater applications.

Under normal working conditions, any air bubbles in the pipeline are evacuated through the micro release vents, these prevent water leakage and water hammer. During pipe fi lling, air fl ows out of the valve at high rates, during pipe drainage or in the case of a pipe burst, the valve allows high volumes of air infl ow limiting the chance of pipeline collapse.

In Sewage applications the operation is the same but the valve mechanism is raised out of the operating fl uid to prevent

clogging and ensure reliable operation.

The Bayard Air valves have built in controllers allowing micro release cleaning and testing of the valve

externally to ensure it is functioning normally. This operation does not require isolation or disassembly of the valve and can be performed in seconds.

Air Valves for Water and Sewage

Couplers & Clamps

Tyco Water manufactures and distributes a variety of pipeline couplings, joiners & repair clamps.

Universal couplings & Flange adapters are designed to provide a non restrained mechanical joint between pipes and fl anges of equal or unequal outside diameters from DN40 to DN3000mm. The variation between the two pipe diameters can be up to 24mm with defl ection up to 3 Degrees. Special 100% stainless steel versions are ideal in aggressive applications.

Repair Clamps provide the ability to rapidly repair burst or broken pipelines permanently or temporarily or provide off takes for under pressure pipeline connections. They are available from sizes DN15-DN1200.

Major Stop Flanges are designed to provide fully restrained fl anged joints to connect Ductile Iron, PVC and PE pipes. An integral gripping ring provides the restraint.

PE couplers & Flange adapters are fully restrained connectors for connecting and fl anging Polyethylene pipes and connecting between polyethylene and other pipe materials.

Penstocks

Erhard’s WAGU range of penstocks are built with decades of knowledge and experience with features unmatched in the industry.

The WAGU penstock range can be used for pressures up to 2 bar in open channels, pits, curved or square tanks and in pipelines. They regulate fl ow rate, maintain liquid levels, throttle discharge and fl ow through channels.

Available in a variety of types and a selected range of the highest quality materials, the WAGU penstocks are very well suited for water treatment and sewage engineering. Available in standard sizes from 150 to 3000 mm for grouting, wall bolting, or fl anged type.

Tyco offers the widest range of check valves available to suit almost every possible water and waste water application.

In pumped applications “short systems” where the distance between the pump and tank are short and/or the head is high they require rapid closing check valves to prevent water hammer. Sapag Clasar with closing times of 0.02 of a second lead the industry in this market.

Alternatively, “long systems” where there is a large volume of water with high inertia moving in the pipeline, controlled staged closing is the key design consideration to prevent surge and pipeline collapse.

Check Valves

In waste water applications the closing mechanism and seat design are essential to providing reliable and maintenance free operation.

Tyco manufacture 8 different styles of check valve design for water and waste water applications from DN40-DN2600.

Knifegates

Knifegate valves are predominantly used for control and isolation in water and waste water treatment plants where the media has a high percentage of solids and closing by a non jamming knife action is required.

Options include U seat resilient type and 100% stainless steel metal seated for more aggressive and high temperature applications. Erhard knife gate valves provide leak tight bi directional sealing at up to 10bar.

Operation by piston pneumatic actuator, hand wheel, level arm, electric actuator and chain drive are available to suit the particular application.

In sizes from DN50-DN600 for resilient seated type and custom manufactured by Tyco in sizes up to DN4300.

Tyco manufacture a full range of Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) balance valves. These are used in the circulation of chilled or heated water supply in large or multi level buildings with centralised air conditioning or heating.

Their function is to balance the distribution of hot or cold water to each fl oor in the building or over long distances and ensure the pressure and fl ow regardless of height or proximity to the pump source is balanced.

So if you are in the basement or the penthouse the fl ow of water to your air conditioning unit is providing the exact temperature you desire.

Single Eccentric Butterfl y Valves

Ideal for transmission and pipeline applications the F627 butterfl y valve is a single eccentric design with rubber encapsulated disc up to DN300 and stainless steel disc edge and repairable body seal for sizes up to DN1600.

For manual or electric actuation the valve is designed for isolation control. The single eccentric design provides a high cycle sealing life with the added possibility for seal repair in service without removing or dewatering the pipeline should damage to the seat occur in service. (option in sizes above DN350)

Tyco manufactures the F627 range of single eccentric butterfl y valves from DN40 to DN1600 in wafer to DN600 and double fl anged from DN100 and above.

Double eccentric butterfl y valves offer very high cyclic life (50,000+ Cycles), high operating pressures (up to PN60) and longer life than traditional concentric Butterfl y valves.

Typically used in transmission distribution pipelines or as turbine and intake valves, when they are fi tted with drop weigh actuators they become combination isolation and check valves.

Manufactured to order, special options include ceramic coatings for salt water applications, vitreous enamel lining, fail safe lock mechanism, disc stops and polygon drive mechanism.

From DN80 – DN3000 the Erhard double eccentric butterfl y valves combine world class design with exceptional performance and reliability.

Double Eccentric Butterfl y Valves

Concentric Butterfl y Valves

Tyco manufacturers a complete range of centric rubber lined butterfl y valves from DN50 to DN2400. These valves are supplied with a large range of disc, seat and shaft materials to suit specifi c applications, temperatures and media.

For aggressive media, sewage, salt water, reuse & desalination water disc materials can be stainless steels (SUS 316, Duplex, SAF) or Aluminium Bronze with Hyperlon seats. In less aggressive applications, epoxy coated ductile iron discs and EPDM seats are available.

Actuation options include: Lever, Pneumatic actuator (Keystone F79U), gearbox & Hand wheel and electric actuator versions.

These valves offer minimal fl ow disruption due to the smooth convex disc shape, with options on loose fi tting replaceable rubber liners and non pinned disc (spline drive) for maximum long term reliability in water & waste water process control.

Anti Water Hammer

Water hammer spikes are caused by sudden changes in fl ow or pressure (pumps stopping, valves slamming shut, incorrect check valve selection). This creates pressure spikes that can be up to 14 x the operating pressure in the system.

Whilst these spikes only occur for a 1/10th of a second, they lead to immediate or long term product and system failure through over pressure.

Bayard manufacture anti water hammer valves for both potable water and sewage, they are designed to prevent both over pressure and pipeline collapse by providing instantaneous relief limiting the maximum pressure or preventing vacuum.

From DN40-DN200 these valves are customised to the application by Bayard technical engineers.

Hydraulic Control Valves

Hydraulic control valves do not require external power or control, they use the increasing or decreasing upstream or down stream water pressure to activate a pilot diaphragm and control the main globe type valve opened or closed via a larger diaphragm and piston.

They can be used for pressure reduction, pressure sustaining, altitude control, fl ow control, tank level control, surge protection and combinations of these features within a single valve. They can be operated remotely by electric solenoid, fi tted with day & night controllers to reduce night pressure and water loss and integrate with SCADA and other controllers.

These valves are custom trimmed (piloted) to order for each specifi c application depending on the desired outcome.
