Polycom VVX D60 Pairing Mechanisms Service Provider Soft Client with Polycom integrated Smart Pairing

Pairing Option Description

PC Port auto Pairing The VVX monitors any connection event on the PC port for a DECT Base Station. This is done by sending out a discovery message on the PC port. On receipt of response to the discovery message, the VVX initiates SSH tunneling and a DECT handshake automatically. This does not require any user input

Automatic Discovery and Pairing

This mechanism automatically discovers available DECT Base Stations on the network and displays them through the VVX phone / Web UI. The precondition for automatic discovery of DECT Base stations is that they need to be in same subnet. This provides flexibility to select the desired DECT Base Station to be paired with VVX.

Manual Pairing This option allows manual configuration of the IP address of the DECT Base Station to pair. The VVX initiates SSH tunneling to the given DECT Base Station IP address by sharing a unique identifier
