A fire can start anywhere in our community and for any reason, some set on purpose, by accident and by a force of nature. InPollock Pines we have the American River canyon that poses avery large thereat to our community if a fire were to start. Thepotential winds that could come up through the canyon with afire could possibly reach Pony Express Trail within hours.

As of July 26, there is now a board as an associate council through the El Dorado Fire Safe CouncilWHEN A FIRE COMES WILL YOU BE PROACTIVE OR REACTIVE?The new council will be meeting on the 3rd Wednesday of eachmonth, currently at the Pollock Pines-Camino Community Centerat 2675 Sanders Drive, from 7- 9pm.
