OverviewOverview Annually the FDOT prepares a Draft Tentative

Work Program that contains numerous transportation related projects, which are intended to maintain and enhance the state’s transportation system, e.g., Aviation, Rail, Traffic Signal, Safety, Resurfacing, Road Projects, Bike/Ped and Transit projects.

FDOT requests transportation priorities from MPOs/TPOs for funding consideration in the development of its Draft Tentative Work Program.

The 2011 Priority Transportation Projects adopted by the TPO in June is the source for many of the new projects contained in the Draft Tentative Work Program.

RecommendationRecommendation The TPO’s Citizens’ and Technical Advisory Committees

recommend that the TPO Board endorse the Draft Tentative Work Program as being consistent with the TPO’s 2011 Priority Transportation Projects (including the Turnpike Enterprise Tentative Projects). (FM# 4106662) Advance SR 542 ROW Phase from FY 2016/17; (FM# 4310921) Advance the CST for SR 37 Sidewalk from FY 2014/15 to

FY 2013/14; (FM# 4299351) Do not delete the PE phase for Waring Road/Dranefield

Rd Intersection; SR 563 Extension (N-S Route) – Surcharging vs. bridging this project. (FM# 4310911) US 98 Sidewalk Limits need to be changed to match the

project request – Winthrop Ave. to Fredericksburg Ave. Prior to deleting projects from the Draft Tentative Work Program, FDOT

is requested to coordinate with the TPO and local governments affected by the project.
