Abstract
Introduction
OBJECTIVESafety and Security: UTHM Railway System should
continue to identify and support rail and rail highway safety
improvements and coordinate with appropriate partners to identify
and implement security and emergency response plans.
Quality of Life and Environmental Stewardship: Rail and land use
planning should be integrated at the state, regional, and local
levels. Further, the environmental benefits of rail should be
evaluated and transportation and environmental decisions should be
integrated into the statewide, regional, and local planning
processes.
Maintenance and Preservation: Maintenance and preservation of
rail infrastructure and service and modernization of the rail
system should remain a high priority.
Mobility and Economic Competitiveness: Investments in Floridas
rail system should support and spur desired economic growth.
Florida should invest in rail system capacity improvements to
enhance the interstate and intrastate movement of people and goods
when public benefit can be demonstrated, and capacity should be
preserved for future needs, including the evaluation of all
abandoned rail corridors for future rail use.
Sustainable Investments: Public awareness of the need for state
and regional investments in rail is an important component of
Floridas goal to become increasingly competitive economically and
its ability to keep pace with investments in both passenger and
freight rail occurring elsewhere in the nation. Opportunities for
funding rail projects should be aggressively pursued in cooperation
with leaders at the local, regional, state, and national
levels.
POLICY AND RECOMMENDATIONMany agricultural, industrial, and
commercial operations rely on rail transportation to move products
efficiently throughout the Malaysia. The high speed rail system
will be a great transportation resource for UTHM residents and
could also contribute to the students mobility. The policies in
this section focus on the maintenance, safety, and future
improvement/expansion of freight and passenger rail transportation
systems in UTHM.
Freight and Passenger Rail Services Support the continued
operation and improvements to existing freight and passenger.
Rail Service CoordinationEncourage coordination of passenger
rail services with other public transportation.
AtGrade Rail CrossingEncourage alternatives to atgrade rail
crossings at existing and future roads.
Railroad Corridor Preservation Work with other agencies to plan
railroad corridors that facilitate the preservation of important
rail line rightofway for future rail expansion or other appropriate
transportation facilities.
High Speed RailEnhance students movement to campus and
hostel.
CONCLUSION
Throughout the whole project of this railway system, it is
mainly focused to reduce the traffic flow so that there will be an
ease of movement for students and staffs activity. Since month by
month and year by year there is an increase in the population of
students, the flow of traffic increase drastically. With our
railway system traffic flow can be reduce to a significant level.
Thus, by using our system students could travel easily from hotel
to campus and vice versa. By having railway system, staff also
could travel easily from outside to campus. Education could be
deliver easily to all of the students effectively without any
obstruction of traffic. Organizing activities and programs are
would be easier in UTHM. More involvement of students could lead
our university to be in higher level in terms of transportation.
Establishing this project could led UTHM to be on next level of
achievement. Therefore it is highly needed support from government
as our campus is fully government sponsored university.
