In 1993, Barbara Hitchcock, curator ofthe Polaroid Collection, provided thefollowing listing of 369 photographers in thePolaroid Collection for the forthcoming"third enlarged edition of InternationalPhotography: Index to Photographers,Collections, and Exhibitions (New York:GK Hall, 1995).

Note: "#" next to a photographer's namemeans "substantial holdings," which theeditors defined as more than 2 dozen prints.The rest are all "modest holdings," rangingfrom just a single print to 24.
