The Pokemon Creepypasta CollectionI put together all of these stories from the 1st Pokemon Hack Stories And Creepypasta PT on ACC. This is only the first one, however, and when PT no.2 is complete, this will be updated. =D

Where do you think you are?In every pokemon game, there are dark caves that require the move flash, for you to be able to see inside them. However, have you ever tried getting through them without it? I discovered this trick on Pokemon Gold, and have since tried it on every pokemon game I own. It works on them ALL, even previous generation red, blue, green and yellow games. You must be in a dark cave, or anywhere that you should use flash. Walk around, fight pokemon in the dark, bump into trainers, and just keep wandering in the dark because eventually you will find a ladder that isnt on the map. Go down it. The screen will go black as you hear the going down stairs noise, but it will play four times, as if youve just gone down four floors. A text box will appear on the black screen saying simply, where do you think you are? The music is distorted for a few seconds, and the screen goes glitchy. Sometimes you might hear a thud noise as if youve walked into a wall, or a distorted pokemon cry that sounds like a scream. Then youll be able to see. In the older versions of the game, it simply looked like youd found a new area that wasnt on the map. In newer versions you can tell something is wrong because everything is in black and white. Youll be in a big, empty room. The four walls all have something written on them, usually your player name and the time, or the names of your pokemon. You can walk through one of the walls, which one depends on the game, if I remember rightly its the north wall in Diamond, and the left one in Yellow.. and so on. When you go through the wall, youll be back in the overworld outside the cave. But everything will still be in black and white. The music will be slower, and lower too and occasionally it jumps. Trying to talk to people now is useless, you cant interact with them anymore. In pokemon Yellow, the pikachu that follows you around is now the sprite of a ghost from lavender town. If you check your pokemon, they will all be there, same stats and nicknames and moves, but all their icons are replaced by the ghost sprite. If you go into the grass and find wild pokemon, they will almost immediately run away or flee from you. Go back into the dark cave you came out of. This is now the only place you can fight wild pokemon and other trainers, so long as you dont use Flash. I discovered recently, that if you play the game like this for long enough, in that one dark cave eventually you will see a trainer that looke like you (main character icon), they stand out, because they are in colour when everything else is black and white. However, if you try to talk to them, all that happens is that a box pops up saying Where do you think you are? The screen goes black, and you hear the distored music, thud, or scream from before

I see ghostsIn DPP, when youre heading up Route 217 to Snowpoint City for your seventh badge, theres a small house near the ice rock where you level up your Eevee to get a Glaceon. If you enter it, the lights are turned off and a woman is sitting alone and unmoving at the table. She talks in a creepy whisper about how she never gets visitors anymore and please, take this, and you get a Spell Tagan item that enhances ghost types. And if you re-enter the house after leaving, its deserted theres no-one there. Not to mention a trainer thats near the cabin mentions legends of hauntings in the area

Hypno's LullabySing to the tune of Hush Little Baby. Come little children, come with me Safe and happy, you will be Away from you're homes, now let us run With Hypno, you'll have so much fun Oh, little children, please don't cry Hypno wouldn't hurt a fly Be free, be free, be free, to play Come down in my cave with me to stay Oh little children, please don't squirm Those ropes, I know, will hold you firm Hypno tells you this is true But sadly, Hypno lied to you Oh little children, you musn't leave Your families for you will grieve Their minds will unravel at the seams Allowing me to haunt their dreams But surely, all of you must know That it is time for you to go Oh little children, you weren't clever Now you shall stay with me forever.

Pokemon Lost SilverI went home and started it up for a nostalgia trip. However, thats where things started getting bizarre, and most likely the reason why you read this. The Gamefreak logo started up as normal, but it just froze there. I thought the cart was just errored or something, so I turned it off and on. The same thing happened. I tried pressing A and Start over and over, and all of the buttons. Eventually, the logo vanished and there was a black screen for about five seconds. Suddenly, rather than going to the usual menu screen, I was

already in the game in a previous saved file, which was odd as I was expecting all of these carts to have been wiped by the poor battery. Either way, I wasnt complaining, as I would have chosen the Continue option to see what the previous guy did anyways. First off, I checked his trainer information. His name was just He didnt have much originality. I checked his profile and apparently he had 999:99 hours put into the game, with all 16 badges, 999999 Pokedollars and all 251 Pokemon on the Pokedex. Seeing as he apparently had Mew and Celebi logged also, I am guessing he either used a Game Genie or is a really hardcore Pokemon player back then. I checked his Pokemon to see what epic team he has. To my surprise, I saw 5 Unowns and a sixth Pokemon named HURRY. Im thinking that this must be some cruel joke by the person who last played this game, but I decided to check the profiles of those Pokemon anyways. As expected, they were different letters of Unown, all Level 5. I was a bit shaky with my Unown alphabet at the time, but I identified the word spelled out to be LEAVE. As for the sixth Pokemon, it turned out to be a Cyndaquil (mind you, this is before there were individualized Pokemon icons). The Cyndaquil looked normal, but it was Level 5 with only 1 HP left with only two attacks: Leer and Flash. I dont know why they named him HURRY, but at the time, I just disregarded it. The most eerie thing was that, despite my volume being at max, none of the Pokemon he had said their usual cries. Just pure silence. Having enough of the team, I closed it. I was parked at what appears to be a room inside Bellsprout Tower. However, for some reason, there were no NPCs around. Even more eerie was that the pillar in the middle didnt move at all, as if just leaning on its side. There was no music at all, and there was no exit or ladder, or least I thought there wasnt. I walked around for a few minutes but cant seem to find a way out. This was certainly not a room Ive seen in the Bellsprout Tower before. Ive tried checking my items for an Escape Rope, but the bag was completely empty. There wasnt any Wild Pokemon either. Finally, Ive managed to find a ladder, which turned out to be behind the pillar. The screen turned black and the music finally started playing. I had a sudden chill, as I recognize that melody I heard to be the theme you hear when you listened to the radio at the Alph Ruins where the Unown are at. I immediately realize that it wasnt a loading transition, but rather I was in a dark room and would need Flash. Before I took care of that though, I immediately checked my Pokegear to change the radio to something more pleasant, but it turns out that there was no Radio card, or even a Phone nor Time cards. There was only a Map card in which Gold ( from earlier, and I will call him Gold from now on) was just walking in a midst of black. I recall that Cyndaquil has Flash, so I turned off my Pokegear and made Cyndaquil use Flash. I didnt see any message saying HURRY has used Flash! or anything like that. The room just became lit just like that, and I soon regretted it. The room was a chilling blood-red with a linear gray path heading south. The ladder I used to go up/down was not there at all. I had no choice but to head south. The screen got darker every 20 steps I made, until I finally made it to the end, which appears to be a sign. I read the sign, which said TURN BACK NOW. Suddenly, I was asked to answer YES/NO, but there was no question asked. I chose YES as I do not know what it was asking, and the screen went black again, making a ladder climbed sound. The Unown Radio music stopped, and in a few seconds was replaced with the not-as-creepy Poke Flute radio music. I was in another dark room, but I held my breath and used Flash again. Suddenly, it said that

HURRY has fainted! which was odd since I recall that there was no status conditions like Poison on him, and I clearly wasnt in a battle. I checked my Pokemon quickly and suddenly hes no longer in my party. In fact, after a bit of investigating, none of my Pokemon are there, but instead all replaced with Level 10 Unown. I did the same thing as before and spelled out the Unown. My then team of Unown spelled HEDIED. Either way, after that creepy change, the room was lit to reveal myself in a very small room that appears to be only four squares big. The walls of that room were gray bricks, as if I was inside something that was hollowed out. Outside that room appears to be a bunch of graves similar to the ones in Pokemon Red/Blue. Ive walked around that small room and pressed A but nothing happened. Ive already concluded that this was clearly a hacked game and some sadistic person sold it to Gamestop. However, my curiosity kept me going. I checked the trainer profile of again only to find out that the sprite of Gold was missing his arms. He also seems to appear less smug, but rather seems more sad and empty in a way that I do not know how to describe. For some reason, it also now said that he has 24 badges, which was clearly impossible. After a few minutes of aimless wondering, my character suddenly spun and did the Escape Rope spinning animation. Instead of flying up though, my character spun downwards slowly, as if sinking. After that screen, the music stopped. After finally landing, the overworld sprite of Gold is coloured differently now. Instead of the usual red colour he dons, he appears completely white now, including his skin. Its as if he came straight from the colorless Game Boy games placed into a colored background of the Gameboy Color. I checked his profile, and now, while now is as white as his overworld sprite, he lost his legs and has what appears to be bloody tears from his eyes. It also says he now has 32 badges, which now starts to disturb me as this change of number seems to represent something important. I also checked my Pokemon, which this time contains 5 Unowns and a Level 100 Celebi without a nickname. The Unown are this time Leveled 15 and spelled out DYING. I checked the Celebis profile. It was a shiny Celebi, except theres only half of the sprite. One leg, one arm, one eye. It only has one attack: Perish Song. The area I was in itself was the Sprout Tower with the immobile pillar as before, except everything is apparently red now. I walked north for what felt like forever. Eventually, I finally encountered some generic men and women NPC. They were all lined up to the side just facing the long slantish pillar in the middle. They were also white, and nothing happens when I try to speak to them. I kept on going north until eventually the pillar finally appears chopped off, with a transparent Red in that spot. I went up to Red and without even pressing A, I was suddenly engaged and finally in a battle. The music starts again, which it sounds like the Unown Radio music again, but played backwards. Golds battle backsprite matches his front one with the bloody eyes, white skin, and lack of arms, while Reds sprite was the same as before in GSC except transparent. The text simply said wants to battle! as if he has no name, and both of us only have one Pokemon each, which is weird as I swear I had six with the Unowns. My shiny Celebi came out, conveniently with half-a-sprite for the back sprite also. The Shiny noise and animation was different, as the sounds it made sound like multiple Screech attacks used consecutively. Red sent out a seemingly normal male Pikachu, except he is Level 255 and his sprite seems sad and has tears in his eyes. Rather than the usual FIGHT/ITEM/PKMN/RUN menu, I was only given the option to use the Attacks. Since Celebi only has one, I chose it. Naturally, since Pikachu was Level 255, he went first. PIKACHU used CURSE!, lowering his Speed and increasing his other Stats. Im not even sure if Pikachu could even use Curse.

CELEBI used PERISH SONG! In three turns, both Pokemon get KOd not like I have a choice. At this point, it didnt even go back to the Fight menu, as the battle just continued without me. Also note that there was no animations at all for some reason. PIKACHU used FLAIL!, which didnt do much damage despite his Level and boost as his health was maxed. CELEBI used Perish Song! Nothing happens as it was already used. PIKACHU used FRUSTRATION!, which did a ton of damage, knocking Celebi down to less than 10 HP. CELEBI used Pain Split!, which surprised me as Celebi didnt even have that attack in the first place. Now Celebi and Pikachu have about 150 HP. PIKACHU used MEAN LOOK! Not like that did anything. As expected, due to the effects of Perish Song, my Celebi fainted. Except in the text, it said CELEBI has died! and instead of the ordinary drop off the screen animation, the CELEBI backsprite just vanished. For some reason, the Pikachu was still up even with Perish Song and it didnt count as my lost. Pikachu used one more different attack beyond the 5 attack limit: PIKACHU used DESTINY BOND! Afterwards, it said PIKACHU has died!, with a slow fade-out animation. Apparently, I was the winner, as the transparent Red Sprite showed up and said . At that point, I just freaked out, as that transparent Red sprite was suddenly missing a head, leaving nothing but his transparent body. The battle then ended at that point and faded out along with the music. Im back in the overworld, with another change to the Gold sprite hes now as transparent as Reds overworld sprite. I quickly checked Golds profile, where this time the only thing remains of him is his head, with a transparent skin. The head was zoomed in a bit, showing a black void in his eyes. It now stated that he now has 40 badges. I then backed out and checked my Pokemon. They were all Level 20 Shiny Unown, which when spelled out, read NOMORE. I was at what I now know is next to the end. There was apparently no music playing, but for some reason I still felt like something was there that could be heard. I was back in my room in New Bark Town. Maybe finally I get to play this game properly, but who am I kidding. I knew that sadistic person must have done something. I walked around my room to interact with things, as Im a bit afraid to go down the stairs to see what was awaiting down there. Note I said walked, as while the background was moving, Gold was not moving his transparent limbs at all while doing so, just floating like those ghosts you see in Diamond/Pearl. As expected, the radio, computer, and TV did not work, so I had no choice but to go down the stairs. I ended up in the same lower level room of my house. Everything appears normal, except mom isnt home. After failing to interact with anything in this room, I decided to go outside. To my surprised, that door leading outside at the south didnt work, and instead I just walk straight through it to a void. I continued moving south to see what the heck was going on. My house vanishes as I head south into the void. It was creepy as when I entered the void, the outline on Golds transparent sprite turned white to contrast with the pitch black. Eventually, I reached a white area and Golds sprite turned black and transparent again. I continued south without thinking of stopping at all. After a long trek south, I finally encountered something. It was GOLDs regular sprite. I talked to it. He said Good bye forever . (notably with a space inbetween the forever and .), and vanished. As that happened, it said ??? used NIGHTMARE which at that point, I would not deny

that being possible. Gold did another Escape Rope animation spinning slowly downwards like before. Im now back into that small hollowed-out room surrounded by graves earlier. Or at least I say I was back there, as theres no sprite anymore. I tried to walk around but nothing moved not even wall bumping noise. I checked my trainer profile with absolutely no Gold sprite left. It said I have 0 badges and all the pictures of the Johto Gym Leaders at the bottom were replaced with skulls. I checked my Pokemon, which were all Level 25 Unown. As expected, it spelled out a phrase that I dared to read. IMDEAD As soon as I went back to the overworld, the room I supposedly was in was then covered with the same blocks as the walls. I then figured out what exactly that room was when the final text was said: R.I.P. That room was a big grave, surrounded by other grave. Gold has already been dead. He died presumably a few years after he defeated Red. He was a young trainer who, despite his efforts in collecting so many badges and attempts at becoming a Pokemon master, was still unable to avoid the inevitable fate of death, and his efforts were eventually forgotten by the next generation. I was unable to escape from that text no matter what I pressed. I tried resetting the game, and the same thing happened, at which I then finally decided to give up on that horrible nightmare. After that experience, I will never look at the gimmick Unown the same way again. They say that only the first generation have folk tales and legends, but the second generation have shown me how unpleasant the truth can be. I eventually enjoyed SoulSilver immensely, but I still cant unthink what that rigged game have told me.

Lavender Town Syndrome"During the first few days of the release of Pokemon Red and Green in Japan, back in February 27, 1996, a peak of deaths appeared in the age group of 10-15. Creepy. The Creepiness It is said that only young teens and children can hear these certain tones throughout this first video, and fully developed human ears cannot. Overview The phenomenon of the Lavender Town Tone is a legend that involves a bizarre spate of medical cases and deaths from around the country that have been connected to the Pocket Monsters (Pokmon) series of games, in particular the first two games of the series, Red and Green. Though the event is largely unheard of due to disclosure laws for companies based in the Kyoto Prefecture, there is a large amount of information that has been brought into the open by a number of dedicated individuals, including (Seki Uchitada) (Ise Mitsutomo) and (Satou Harue), to whom this page is dedicated. Thanks also go out to (Andou Kagetada) for providing images and animated .gifs of the visual phenomena. This analysis will discuss the other phenomena that is often confused with the Lavender Town Tone, known as White Hand Sprite, Ghost Animation and buried alive model, as well as the semi-related developer-tag that was inserted into the game, and how to safely perform these easter eggs in post-first wave cartridges. History of the Game

The first cases of the Lavender Town Tone and associated events were reported a few months after the release of of Pocket Monsters Red and Green for the handheld Game Boy videogame console. These videogames were wildly popular with children between the ages of seven and twelve (their core demographic), which was no doubt one of the reasons why the Lavender Town Tone had the level of severity that it did. In the game, the player takes on the role of a Trainer, whose task it is to capture, tame and train wild creatures called Pocket Monsters for battle. These games, and the two newest additions to the series, Pocket Monsters Gold and Silver, an anime, manga, figurines, a collectible card-game and home console games have resulted in Pocket Monsters becoming a multi-billion dollar franchise. In one part of the game, the Trainer comes to a small, out-of-the-way place called Lavender Town. This town is one of the smallest hamlets in the game (aside from the Trainers own home town), and possesses very few of the services available to the Trainer in every other city in the game indeed, the location would be unremarkable were it not for the Pokmon Tower located there a colossal building that holds the graves of hundreds of deceased Pokmon. It is theorised that, because of this location in the game, at least two hundred children lost their lives, and many more developed sudden illnesses and afflictons and this does not consider the vast waves of unreported illnesses or deaths whose cause went unnoticed. History of the Pathology It was not until Spring/Summer of 1996 that the cases that would eventually become linked to the Lavender Town Tone began to surface. The earliest record of the acknowledgement of the effects of the Lavender Town Town that the author could find came from an internal report made in June 1996 by the company Game Freak Inc. , which was then leaked by one of its former employees, Ms. Satou Harue. In it, an employee gives a list of names, dates and symptoms records of children between the ages of 7 and 12 who had suffered various medical problems as a result of playing Pocket Monsters Red and Green versions. Some records are listed below, with the full listing in Appendix A. (It should be noted that entries in the Appendix also include symptoms borne not from the Lavender Town Tone [an audio phenomenon] but from the so-called White Hand Sprite, Ghost Animation and buried alive model, all of which were visual phenomena that provoked similar but distinct symptoms. More details on Part Two). April 12 1996 (11). Obstructive sleep apnea, severe migraines, otorrhagia, tinnitus. May 23 1996 (12). General irritability, insomnia, addiction to videogame, nosebleeds. Developed into violent streaks against others and eventually himself. April 27 1996 (11). Cluster headaches, irritability. Eventually took mixed painkillers. March 4 1996 (7). Migraines, sluggish and slow behaviour, unresponsiveness. Developed into deafness, and went missing. Body discovered beside road April 20 1996. The document that was circulated internally was the first time that these incidents had been connected with the Pocket Monsters videogames until then, the cause had not been discovered or diagnosed by medical professionals. Indeed, it is uncertain how the company themselves managed to find the cases related to the event without seeking advice from health services. Pathology Detail Lavender Town Tone The predominant symptoms related to what would become known as the Lavender Town Town included headaches and migraines, bleeding from eyes and ears, mood swings and irritability, addiction to the games, unprovoked violence, withdrawal and unresponsiveness, and in approximately 67% of cases, suicidal tendencies. However, these symptoms only manifested in children between the ages of 7 and 12 years old who had reached the area in game known as Lavender Town, most of whom were revealed to have been wearing headphones or earphones while playing the game (see Appendix A [here]). As it turns out, the developers of the Lavender Town area had sought to make an area that would leave an impression on the player, according to Seki Uchitada, who was a member of the development team. Seki claimed that at the time of development, a number of the team were interested in making Lavender Town a little different to the rest of the game. The Pokmon Tower is a visible result of that, Seki told Games Dimensions Magazine) in an

interview earlier this year. That, and the fact that Lavender Town is so different from all the other cities in the game: it is smaller, it has fewer people occupying it, it didnt have a gym and, of course, the music was very, very eerie. In fact, in the first version of the game, we were told to slightly change the song played in the background of Lavender Town because our manager told us it would make children upset. The music used in subsequent versions is different. Either Seki was unaware of the full impact of the Lavender Town Tone, or was vastly underexaggerating how upset children would get no more is said of the music in the article, but there are mentions of Lavender Towns other macabre features (see below). What Seki failed to disclose to Games Dimensions Magazine was that the music used in the firstwave release of Pocket Monsters Red and Green was formulated out of an experiment in binaural beats: using slightly different frequencies of sound, each frequency played in one ear through earphones or headphones, various psychological effects can be induced upon the listener. In most versions of the first wave releases, this resulted in the player feeling uneasy, apprehensive, and mildly disturbed. However, for upwards of two-hundred children, it provoked a variety of disturbances in the brain that went undetected purely because it was undetectable by fully developed human ears instead, only children fell victim to the tones , resulting in psychological and physiological problems that in some cases led to death many of which were suicides. Pathology Detail- Visual Overview These visual effects are known among programming circles as The White Hand Sprite, the Ghost Animation, and the Buried Alive Model. Each has been found to cause headaches, nausea, and in severe cases, hemorrhaging of the brain and lungs. While around 70% of Lavender Town Syndrome (LTS) is due to the Lavender Tone, the remaining percentage is split among these visual phenomena. This is partly due to the visual stimuli occurring after the player is introduced to the Lavender Tone. It has been theorized that those unaffected by the aural stimulation, such as the deaf or the hard of hearing, make up the remaining 30%. While viewing these models can cause these effects, there are certain methods that allow a viewer to safely examine them in detail. The White Hand Sprite Known in the code as WhitHand.gif, this was scripted to appear as a Pokemon on the third floor of the Lavender Tower. It is divided into four separate animations: an introduction (the cry a Pokemon unleashes before a battle), an idle, and two attacks. These attacks are unknown, as they are listed simply as Fist and Brutal. While viewing the animation has been proven to be hazardous, viewing the frames of the model has been proven to have no adverse effects. The White Hand is depicted as a shriveled, slightly decayed hand, with surprising attention to detail: flesh is peeling back from the bone, and several tendons dangle realistically out of the wrist. The first attack is the hand balling into a fist, then swinging forward. However, the brutal animation is missing several frames: The hand seems to open up, then cuts out. After a few seconds, it reappears, closed again. No record has been found of these missing frames. Ghost Animation The Ghost Animation, coded as Haunting.swf, was intended to be placed in several areas throughout the tower, including in the center of a path on the second floor. However, players cannot interact with it, leaving many to believe that it was intended as a background feature. The ghost animation as well must be viewed in individual frames. It is comprised of 59 frames total. However, after extraction, around half of these frames have been revealed to be the standard ghost model used in Pocket Monsters. Around a quarter of the remaining frames are comprised of static, to produce a fading effect. However, interspersed with these bursts of static are several frames of screaming faces, along with images of a skeletal man in a cloak (hypothesized to be the Grim Reaper) and of several killed corpses. The meaning behind these

are unknown- While under oath before the Video Games Commission Board, Lead Programmer Hisashi Sogabe testified as to having No knowledge as to where these images surfaced. Out of all the phenomena associated with LTS, this animation is the most speculated on: In his thesis Video Games and The Manipulation of the Human Mind, [viewable in appendix C] Dr. Jackson Turner argued that the images were intentionally placed in. Due to their brief time appearing on the screen, and the graphic nature of the frames, Turner theorizes that these were meant to subliminally influence players into becoming more frightened by the disturbing surroundings. The Buried Alive Model Often referred to as its code, the Buryman script, the Buried Alive Model was to be found on the final story of the Pokemon Tower, in what has now been replaced with the Marowak ghost. According to the scripts assigned to it, the Buried Alive model was intended to be the boss of the tower. Once reaching the top floor, the following conversation would have taken place. Buried Alive: Youre Here. BA: Im trapped BA: And Im lonely BA: So very lonely BA: Wont you join me? After this, the battle would have been initiated. Once in battle view, the Buried Alive model appears to be a decaying human corpse attempting to crawl out of the ground. It has been programmed to have two White Hands, a Gengar, and a Muk. Strangely enough, a protocol for the Buried Alives actions after it was defeated were not written. In the case of the player defeating him, the game would freeze. However, a specific ending was written by an unknown programmer upon losing the battle. In this ending, the Buried Alive was to have stated, Finally, fresh meat! followed by several lines of gibberish. He was to have then dragged the player character into the ground surrounding him. The scene would finish with a typical Game Over screen; however, in the background, an image of the Buried Alive character devouring the player was to have been shown. Especially strange are the protocols for after this scene. The cartridge was to download this image to the small internal memory contained in the Gameboy, overwriting the title screen that normally accompanied a Gameboy turning on. Instead, whenever it was started, the player would view this image as the sound file staticmesh.wav was played. The intended purpose for this effect, unlike many of the other factors leading towards LTS, is unknown.

During the course of the game, you steal your rival's innocence, crush his dreams, and ultimately snatch away the love of his own grandfather. Oh, and by the way, your rival doesn't have any parents. He's an orphan.

I AM DEAD I met my best friend in elementary school. We had both brought our Gameboys to school one dayand sat together at lunch once we realized what we had in common. I had Blue version and a Venausaur, he had Red version and a Charizard. He and I battled whenever we could and became great pals. As the years went on, we continued playing Pokemon, even through high school. Throughout all of the Pokemon generations and versions we went though, the battles never became dull.

As we approached college, we had to go separate ways. We didn't speak much after that; we had such busy lives to follow in college. I didn't think we would ever regain the friendship we once had. Then, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were released in 2007 and we once again enjoyed our common interest in the series. We battled and talked over Wi-Fi nearly every day for a few weeks after its release. My friend told me that he planned to play through his old Red version again. Since it had beenabout three months after the release of Diamond and Pearl, we didn't play them as much as before. I asked him why he wanted to play that dusty old cartridge, and he responded, "I don't know, maybe I'll find something that no one has found before."

Despite my unwillingness to run through my Blue version with him, he played his Red versionanyway. After he started his journey, I never talked to him again. About three weeks later, I received a call from my friend's parents.

Even though he never had any similar problems before, he died from what was speculated to bean intense seizure. He was alone in his dorm room until a roommate, who was unfortunately too late, found him lying on the ground, lifeless, and strangely wearing his favorite headphones. I flew out as soon as I could to attend his funeral. His roommate, who was going to attend as well, informed me that just days before the incident my friend was becoming obsessed with Lavender Town and its music. My friend had aspired to become a sound engineer after graduating and had a wide range of audio skills at his disposal. He could always hear quiet sounds vividly while I failed to even recognize them at all.

As soon as he rediscovered Lavender Town, he ripped its audio to his computer and began experimenting with it. Interestingly, he bragged about finding a rare rip of the music from the first distributed batch of the Japanese-exclusive Green version. Not specifically referring to the special Japanese version, he had told the roommate that, "The frequencies in this song are different; they blend together in a special way. But there's something missing. I think something was meant to be mixed in, but it never could have worked on the Gameboy. It was so limited in terms of sound bandwidth." I had the chance to go through his laptop one last time, so I visited his Recent Items list. At the very top read "lavender.wav". Along with a few photos of us together, I copied this to my flash drive. Caught in my sadness over my best friend's death, I ignored the audio file until a

few weeks before writing this. I somehow recently decided that I needed to retrace what had happened.

Driven by my desire to know what caused his untimely death, I opened the properties dialog boxfor the audio file, without opening the file to listen to it. Within the comments section of the metadata, he had written, "binaural tones, i added the necessary frequencies, i know why lavender town sounds so sad, and i know the part that was missing". Even eerier, I looked in his default audio program (still without listening to the file) and found the playcount for this file. One. I chatted with a sound enthusiast online in hope to decipher these cryptic comments. He gave me some special software which would analyze the audio in real time and said that was the most that could be done. This video is a screen recording of me running the aforementioned software with the original audio file. To this day I have not listened to the actual audio, as I am too emotionally disturbed by my best friend, Anthony's, death.

GhostI was one of those "big kid, master gamer" kids everyone in the neighborhood looked up to, especially when Pokemon Red and Blue came out. I was ten years old, and the oldest on my block, and every kid played the games, and asked me for advice. I'd sometimes give misleading advice, such as the Missingno. glitch, the Mew glitch, and the truck glitch. I used to love misleading my fellow neighbors. I never thought it would all come back to haunt me. I'd beaten Pokemon Red several times, but I was so addicted to the game I kept playing. I started a new game, and in three hours' time, I was in Lavender Town. I loved going to the Tower just to see if I could catch the unnamed GHOSTs. One day...I caught one! Even though my Nidorino was too scared to move, I just threw a Poke Ball, and it was caught. I was ten, and really syked. During my gym battle with Erika, I first used the Ghost, whom I nicknamed "Spooky" like a young idiot would. Spooky became my new best friend. He'd use this move called "Curse". Which would mysteriously just One hit KO all Pokemon. When I beat the game, I was thrilled. I wanted to use Spooky forever. However, just when Spooky was about to get inducted into the Hall of Fame...the screen went black. I shook my GameBoy, thinking it was on the fritz. But nothing but a box of text came up, and the words "H--help me!" came up. I widened my eyes. This never happened before. The text continued, "H--he's too strong....help me, please....send him back....SEND HIM BACK!" I was confused. Send who back? What was this? Did I unlock a mystery event after beating the game so many times? The screen showed up again, and to my surprise I was in Lavender Town again. I was pretty weirded out. The music to the Town was playing, but it seemed distorted. Then, my Trainer sprite disappeared, and a tombstone took its place. The box of text appeared again, saying, "Send him back."

I was ready to shut the game off. This was just too weird. I was gonna restart my game, and play without a ghost. I shut off the switch. I froze when the game didn't go off. I tried lowering the volume. The music still played. I was really getting freaked now, so I kept flicking the off switch. No matter how hard I tried, the game didn't go off. "SEND HIM BACK NOW." The text box screamed. I was shaking. When I tried moving, the tombstone changed into my sprite again. I walked to the Tower, where I caught Spooky. I went to the exact area I caught him. Once I got there, the screen went completely black. Then, the text box came up, saying, "TOO LATE." I was shaking when the Town music kept playing and playing...and then it got more distorted, and I heard demonic noises coming from it. In a desperate attempt to fix my game, I opened the battery door and ripped out the batteries from my GameBoy. Finally, I heard everything go off. Sighing in relief, I once again put the batteries back in. And I switched the game on. It started off normally, and I clicked 'New Game'. Since then, I've never caught a ghost.

The Lighthouse StoryWARNING; If you DO get creeped out easy, Don't read this. It is graphic, but don't forget, this can NOT happen. It all started when I lost my pokewalker for my Pokemon Heart Gold game I was depressed because I had a level 60 dragonite on it. After a few months I decided get a new one. I went on google and tried to find one. After a few minutes I managed to find one for 2$ with free shipping but they wanted the money to be sent directly to the address which seemed a little odd, but I sent it anyway. It arrived about a week later. When I opened the box I first noticed the pull-out tag was missing, so it was used, but I didnt care so I pressed the middle button. The screen of the usual pokewalker screen came up, but there was an unknown being walked, so I transferred it to my game. When I did my ds shut off, so I turned it back on. When I started the game it seemed normal but there was no intro which I find enjoyable and I always watch it so I was wondering why it didnt start, but I just thought it was a glitch so I continued. Next, there was music on the page where they show Ho-oh flying, but I did what I did last time and continued. The next scene where you get the options was missing, so It just put me in the game. When I started my game was what seemed to be the old gold version for the GBC (gameboy color), and I was in the lighthouse on the bottom floor. I instantly checked my pokemon and they were gone. I put the game down and tried to go back to the website but it was gone, and I located the address on google Earth and it was an empty lot. At this point I was freaked out, but I picked up the game and continued. I tried to exit the lighthouse but the door wasnt letting me leave instead giving me a message saying kill them written in unknown. I checked my player status

and everything was at zero and my name was Kill Them. I decided to try to get to the top of the lighthouse. When I went to the next room it was nothing but doors on every wall. I decided to go trough one, and when I went through it there was I painting. I clicked on it and a very detailed picture of Professor Oak shot at least five times laying on his back in a pool of blood. I hit the off switch and turned it back on and the same picture came up, so I had no choice but to continue. I pressed B and the image disappeared, and I left the room. I was greeted once again by the many doors and went in another. Once again there was a painting and I clicked it, and it showed once again a very detailed picture but this time it was a child maybe 7 hanging from his arms without a shirt with a huge gaping wound and his organs were on the floor, and he was missing his eyes. To add to the horrible scene there was a very faint screaming of a child. I left the room scared to death, and entered another door, the next painting were like the other ones (very detailed), and it was Brock dead in a chair with his head in his lap. That is all I can remember before I left in fear, the next was a child, I couldnt even tell the gender. It was like all the other child but more disturbing and detailed then the other. This disturbing pattern continued until there were no more doors. When I left room which had a another picture of a child missing all its limbs and organs which were all on the floor in a big pool of blood. After this painful last picture (which was so detailed it looked to be real) I left the room and there was only one door in the room now, so I opened it. The next room had all paintings and a flight of stairs. I just went up the stairs the next room had a sign and more stairs, and the room was a slight tint of red. I red the sign and it said Getting closer written in unknown; I took the stairs. The next room was filled with paintings, had stairs, and was even more redder then the last. Scared, I clicked on one of the paintings. It was like the other children but more detailed and worse. Its entrails were being pulled out by a hand, the hand was covered in blood and organs. I nearly threw up. Every picture was of a child more detailed and worse then the last. The last picture was of a head of a child. It was missing its eyes and it looked like its nose was ripped off, and its mouth was wide open, and its tongue was cut out. I quickly ran up the stairs. There were two people, Lance and Red (Lance is the pokemon champion of the game, and Red is Ash Ketchum who is the master pokemon trainer who you have to fight at the end of the game in Mt. Silver, for those who didnt play the game). Lance Walked up to my and we engaged in battle, with no music. I had all my pokemon who I trained to lev 100 so I beat him with no problem, I found it odd that my pokemon who must were not in the game came up and pixelated perfectly and that all the pokemon had double their health. After the battle Lance battled me again. This time he had one pokemon. It said Lance sent out himself!. So I battled him and he was a level one and I beat him with one shot. After the battle he fell to the ground and became surrounded by a pool of blood. Then a message written in unknown said he and his pokemon died. Then me and Red battled and, all my pokemon were healed so I beat him like I beat Lance with no problem the same thing happened with Red that happened with Lance. After the second message that was the same as the first disappeared, the escape animation played. Now another message written in unknown said you killed them no destroy it. I was confused, but then I remembered the pokewalker. I destroyed it like the game said and flushed the pieces down my toilet and continued (I dont why I didnt keep it and show someone, but something was forcing me to. I felt like I had to do it). So after a pressed A the message disappeared and I was back to my Heart Gold game at the Indigo league just where I saved and my game was perfectly fine. I tried to tell people but no one believes me, do you?

You Let Them Get YouWith HeartGold and SoulSilver's release earlier this year, I tried looking for a copy of one of the original games, Crystal, to buy online. I hadn't played this game in at least 7 years. It strangely went missing when I moved house as a kid. I saw the cart eBay. There wasn't much information, or even a picture, but it had no postage and packaging price and only cost a dollar, so I was hardly losing anything if it didn't really exist. When the game arrived, it wasn't in its original box, but instead, the cartridge alone was just

wrapped up. It looked like a Crystal cartridge as it was shiny, slightly see-through and blue, but it lacked the sticker in which the game title is print on. However, I still put it in my pink Game Boy Advance SP. Pink as I am a girl, of course. I switched the handheld on. There was a loud beeping sound, then the game began as normally. Once the menu screen was open, the only option was New Game, as it had never been played. The cartridge sure ddn't seem in that condition though. So, I clicked new game. Instead of starting out with the Professor's speech, it skipped straight to somewhere that didn't exist in these games. Or at least, it looked like the place. It was the Pokemon Mansion from the original games. The Pokemon Mansion on Cinnabar Island. The same Cinnabar Island that no longer existed. I was the girl character, as I wanted to be, but I had no choice in this. On close inspection, her hair seemed a different color from what I originally remembered. It was a dark purple, and she also didn't have her hat any longer. I walked around the building. It wouldn't let me up the stairs. The only other thing was a bed. I walked towards it and a scientist came along. He told me to rest, so I laid on the bed. The screen suddenly went pitch black. It stayed this way for a while. Before this transition, there was pure silence, but after, there was loud high pitched noises, which almost sounded like screams. It was hard to tell though, as the sound was in 8bit. When my character woke up, the plase was covered in patches of red; blood. The character herself was drenched in it too. I tried to walk around, but I couldn't. The scientist seemed to have disappeared, also. I pressed all of the buttons to try and get something to work, and on pressing select, my character walked out of bed. Only, she was still in the bed at the same time. And unlike before, instead of walking, she appeared to float. I pressed start, and my character turned into a ghost pokemon's menusprite. This shocked me slightly. I walked out of the door, when I suddenly teleported into Lavender Town. There, in the middle of town, was a gravestone. I clicked the "A" button to check it. It said "R.I.P. CRYSTAL". I opened up my menu, and looked at my trainer card. The sprite of the trainer had turned into that of a Misdreavus', and as I though, the player's name was "CRYSTAL". The scientist came up to the tombstone, and it suddenly disappeared. He seemed to run at twice the speed of a normal game character. My character, without my control, floated after him. As soon as she entered a patch of grass, a random encounter appeared. Only, this encounter was hardly "random". The Pokemon was Mewtwo. Instead of attacking, a few lines were written. "You let them get you, didn't you, CRYSTAL?" There was a yes and no option, I just clicked no, as I was unsure of what was going on. "Don't lie to me! I can see what they did! Look at yourself." After this, the game paused for a few seconds, then the "battle" continued. "You're just an object of science, like me. I'm not real, and neither are you. You were just made out of a tiny bit of DNA from something else, and when you weren't perfect, they killed you. Would you like to seek revenge?" I clicked no again, and I was sent back to the field, with Mewtwo still following my character. I walked until the scientist appeared again, and suddenly, my bag screen came up with the only item there being "Knife". I clicked it, and pressed use. Suddenly, the screaming noise appeared again, and the screen went black. Suddenly, the screaming got louder and more frequent. When it stopped, I was in the radio tower. A text box appeared. "Why did they destroy our home? We were meant to be here... Everyone who destroyed are home is gone. Everyone in the world is gone. We killed them all. We got revenge like you. Now all the world is gone." Suddenly, the screen went white, with my character still there. "Everything is gone. You also killed us. You're the only one left. Why did we kill people? Why did you help? Now, you must get what you deserve!" The character was replaced with a patch of blood, and then the game froze. I have never picked up this cartridge again. It gave me nightmares.

WE ARE COMING TO GET YOUI was randomly searching through a box in my room one day, and I came across my old "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team". I remembered how much fun I had with it. So I inserted it into my DS and decided to play it. It went to the intro, then to the option screen. I looked at my saved progress, and figured I had done a lot, so I decided to continue from there. First, I saw my character (which was a bulbasaur) sleeping in her little hut designed to look like her. I walked out. Ah, Good ol' Pelipper, here to deliver my mail. I moved over to the mailbox after the Pelipper flew away. It was a message, but it wasn't labeled anything but "...". Curious, I opened it. WE ARE COMING TO GET YOU. NO USE RUNNING, WE ARE COMING. NO USE HIDING. WE WILL GET YOU. I'm quite confused, but then I figured this is something that happens after you complete the game. It was probably Team Meanies at it again. I stored it and went to Pokemon Square. The moment I walked in, a cry was heard, and my sprite looked around, confused. A box popped up. "Liz! Over here!" My character cautiously walked over to the crowd. They spread out. I saw my partner, Marcus (He's a mudkip), in sleeping position, but he wasn't moving. Then I saw patches of red on him. "Liz... Marcus is dead." These were Alakazam's words. I froze. He's dead? What kind of sick joke is this, Nintendo? My character walked over to him. "(Marcus...)" (The parentheses indicate my thoughts, given my character never really talks.) Then there was a flash of white, and then, all of a sudden, Charizard had disappeared. All the characters began to panic. "Where did Charizard go?" "What happened?" "Hey, a note!" Snubbull spoke up. WE ARE COMING TO GET YOU. NO USE RUNNING. WE ARE COMING. NO USE HIDING. WE WILL GET YOU. ...This was the same note from the mailbox. Then, all of a sudden, another white flash, and Snubbull was surrounded by a pool of blood.

This is pretty morbid for a children's game. "Snubbull!" "Snubbull's dead!" At this point, the cutscene ended, so I ran out of Pokemon Square and into Marcus' friend area. He wasn't there, rather a different pokemon. It was transparent and shaped like a circle. "Hello," it said. "...." said my character. "I know how to escape." "(...Escape what?)" "I can hear your thoughts. They speak loud. You must keep them quiet, or they will hear." "(...Who will hear?)" "Them." "(Who is them?)" "The ones who murdered your partner. The ones who abducted Charizard. The ones who took away Snubbull's life." "(Th-They're here?!)" "No. But they will find you. You're in danger, as well as every Pokemon, everywhere." "(But-But who are you?)" "That is not important. And it will never be. Will you follow me to escape?" I had the option to say "Y-Yes" or "......". I chose "Yes". "Good. Follow me. Come now. Follow me. Come now. Follow me. Come now. Follow me. Come now. Follow me." It kept saying those same two lines until I decided to shut off my DS. It wouldn't shut off. I kept trying, but nothing would happen. FOLLOW ME. It said finally, with an ear piercing cry, until I was forced to. We cautiously walked out of the friend area and into a dungeon, which resembled the entrance to the Sky Dungeon (I forgot the name, I apologize.) Let's go. Follow me for safety. I had the option of Yes and But what about the others? I chose the second option. The transparent white circle turned to me. The others don't matter.

I had the option of O-Okay and Yes they do! A distorted music began to play when I chose the second one. The icon's eyes turned into a chilling red color. FOLLOW ME, OR I WILL TEAR YOU APART, LIMB FROM LIMB. I WILL WRITE IN YOUR BLOOD ON THE WALLS OF THIS DUNGEON. I WILL KILL YOUR FRIENDS. I WILL SHOW NO MERCY. FOLLOW ME. OR ELSE, THIS WILL BE YOUR FATE. My character slowly backed away. By now I was freaked out. NO. COME HERE. COME CLOSER. COME NOW. She backed away more. WHAT ARE YOU DOING? COME NOW. COME NOW. COME NOW. COME NOW. It kept uttering that same phrase. The music began to scare me, so I tried to turn down the volume. It didn't work. It must be this stupid DS. Then, my character turned. A mudkip, with a trail of blood following, walked up. (He-he's alive!) Liz! Don't follow him! I suppose I'm going to have to finish you off. You'll never finish me! Marcus said. Oh, but I will. I'll... Then, in far too much detail, it described how it would kill Marcus. I cannot even describe how disturbing it was. Then the two were locked in battle. I tried to use sleeping powder on it, and suddenly the battle stopped. You dare interfere?! the circle screeched. You will pay the price! Then, in the worst detail, it showed a drawing on the top screen of a bulbasaur being torn apart. Then a Charmander. Then a Chikorita. I couldn't take it. I took out the camecard and threw it out the window. WE WILL GET YOU. uttered my DS. WE WILL GET YOU. WE WILL GET YOU. It wouldn't stop. I threw it out the window. But it kept saying it.

It decreased in speed, until it was nothing more than a mumble. I don't think I can ever pick up a Pokemon game without a hammer by my side. Ever.

RegisIf you have Diamond, Pearl or Platinum, you have probably read the myth in Canalave library about the man who came to own a sword. Remember the ending? That wasn't the real ending. He wasn't "callow and foolish in innocence". He had went looking for the sword so he could kill Pokemon. For fun. So kill he did, until he couldn't find any pokemon left. He searched everywhere until he found one. But it was massive and he feared it would hurt him if he tried to kill it. The Pokemon spoke to him. "Why did you kill all of the Pokemon?" it said. The man grinned. "I get pleasure out of it" he replied. This made the Pokemon angry. "You will have to be punished" he said angrily. The sword the man held began to hover. It moved above the man's head and dropped on him killing him. The Pokemon then created three bodies to store the three "elements" of the man in. The soul and sanity of the man was put in a stone body, because like stone, his sanity had crumbled away. His blood was drained from his body and stored in a body of thick ice, symbolizing his cold heart. Finally, his decomposing corpse was put in a steel body, because the man seemed to be emotionless like metal. The pokemon then brought the bodies to life: Regirock Regice and Registeel. He sealed them into caves never to be found. The Rumour-------If you use all 3 Regi's in battle and they all get KO'd there's a chance the screen will black out. A disturbing looking face will show up, with a screaming noise. The man has a sword through his head and has no eyes. The face is supposed to be so horrible, it can drive you insane. You may want to release your Regi's... or go insane for life.

Gary's RevengeI remember several years ago I picked up my old Pokmon Blue game and decided to start fresh. My old file contained decent accomplishments, but there were some things I wished I hadn't done.

I slid farther into my seat at the computer, placing my legs stretched out on the desk in front of me. I blew the dust from the cartridge and inserted it into the slot of my purple Gameboy Color. While waiting for the game to load up, I left my game console on the computer chair and went into the kitchen for a snack. When I came back with a cherry soda and cheese crackers, I noticed something very odd. The start screen was blank. Just white showed up nothing else. Figuring it was just a glitch; I shrugged it off and confirmed to play, while taking a sip from my drink. I selected "new game" and skipped through the intro. Nothing out of ordinary there. I gave myself the name "Ace". I stuck with the name Gary for my rival. But that's probably not important to you. I played for hours. I have forgotten how much fun this game was. But after beating the fourth gym I noticed something wrong. Gary suddenly came running out of nowhere towards my direction. This has never happened before. He stopped in front of me and said, "I'm sick of you always trying to impress my grandpa. THIS ENDS NOW, YOU MORON." My belly did the strangest flip flop and my heart started beating like crazy. This can't be happeningI thought as the screen switched to battle mode. It started out as any Pokmon battle. Gary sent out his wartortle and I sent out my chameleon. Still confused but I managed to defeat him. Had I somehow unlocked something I never done before? It didn't make any sense. Right when I thought everything would turn back to normal, I soon found out I was totally wrong. Gary went insane. He started uttering various Pokemon cries, as if the game was implying he was swearing. He flashed different colors which was also freaky. I tried running away but I was frozen! I got panicky and tried shutting off my game. To my horror, I could not I let out a bloodcurdling scream and dropped my Gameboy on the ground. "THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!" I exclaimed again and again. My mom came rushing into the room. "Honey, what's wrong? Are you okay?" "Something is wrong with this game" I said, picking up my Gameboy. The screen was frozen. Gary and I stood face to face. Mom gave me an odd look. "What do you mean?" She peered over my shoulder and glanced at the screen. "never mind," I replied as I shoved the console in my hoodie pocket. She probably wouldn't believe me. "I'll just go take a walk outside." "Well, okay," she said, sitting down on the couch. "If you need anything, you know you can always come to me." Nodding, I made my way to the front door. I wasn't really going to take a walk though I sat down on the front porch and took my Gameboy from the pocket of my hoodie. The screen remained the same, but my emotions did not. This time, I was totally fearless.

Pressing random buttons, I waited for something to happen. I tried shutting it off again but that didn't work either, which I was still puzzled about. After a few more experiments, I gave up. It was probably stuck like this forever and there was nothing I could do about it. Days passed. Months crept by. The screen was still frozen. Gary and I stood face to face. Two years passed. I was fourteen. Gary and I, still, stood face to face. I celebrated my fifteenth birthday with family and friends. One of my cousins found my Gameboy buried beneath her stuff in her tote bag. She asked me how it got there. I shrugged and told her sometimes it ended up in random places without me knowing. She assumed it was a joke and threw the junky console away, which I didn't mind because I knew it would return and show up in a random place the next day. And I was right. The day after my birthday party, my purple Gameboy Color, that good ol' thing that provided me with hours of entertainment, ended up on my nightstand. Gary and I stood face to face. The strange occurrences went on. If my dad ever found it in his briefcase, he chuckled and placed it back on my nightstand, thinking it was me who placed it there. If my mom was pulling weeds from her garden, she would see the console lying mysteriously in the dirt and shake her head in annoyance. My little brother would just chuck it out the window. He never admitted it, but I knew he was afraid. It would always return - either on my bookshelf, the computer chair, or my nightstand. Gary and I still stood face to face. One day I had enough. Even though I had become used to this hide-and-seek game, I wanted to let my family know I wasn't an immature child who enjoyed playing constant tricks on her family. I took a hammer from my dad's garage and killed that thing. To my surprise, the screen went black. I felt relieved but a little spooked at the same time. I wasn't sure why I suddenly got chills, but I did. Somehow I sensed that wasn't the right thing to do. Somehow I sensed that I would regret what I did. Badly. To this day, I regret it terribly. I will never forget what happened that night. Lying in my bed, ready to get some shut eye, I still felt the chills like I did earlier that day when I took the hammer and smashed my Gameboy. Scolding myself mentally for being so paranoid, I drifted off to sleep. Loud Pokmon cries woke me up in the middle of the night. When I opened my eyes, I could feel all the blood drain from my face. I felt like I was about to have a heart attack. Gary stood in front of me. He flashed colors while uttering various Pokmon cries and stared blankly at me. He looked exactly like the character in Pokmon Blue, only life-sized. Gary and I both stood face to face.

It felt like forever. Seriously, I never experienced anything for so long. It was so terrifying and I wanted to die. I wanted it to end so badly, I wanted to cry. But I couldn't. We were stuck like this. I have no idea how much time passeddays, months, maybe even years. I don't remember what happened, but one day I was suddenly fine. I was enjoying life, laughing with my friends at the park. I couldn't recall anything previously, except that eternal-like night. I'm sixteen now. The incident that happened five years ago, when I was eleven, still haunts me. I still have nightmares. I never told anyone, except to the people who are reading this right now. I don't blame you for not believing me. I know you might think I'm insane and that I belong in some mental institute. Or that I'm just trying to mess up a children's game with my twisted mind. I don't blame you one bit. Just remember though: Never take a hammer and smash a video game console. The consequences are horrifying and you will regret it for the rest of your life.

Evil PikachuAsh Ketchum walked through his front door. "Anyone here?" he called out to the surprisingly dark house. No answer. Ash put down his backpack and walked into the kitchen. This was odd. Misty was supposed to meet him here fifteen minutes ago. As he reached for a glass, he heard something. He stopped. Listened. There it was again. A muted "pika pika," coming from the bedroom. Ash walked to the door. "Pikachu? Are you in there?" "Pika," came the high-pitched response. Ash turned the handle and walked in. The room was very dark. Ash flipped the switch. Misty lay on the bed, staring at Ash almost boredly. Pikachu stood on hind legs near Misty's midsection with his back to Ash. "Oh no, you guys!" exclaimed Ash. "My mom's gonna be really mad when she finds out you spilled tomato sauce on the bed!" Except... As the realization began to wash over Ash in confusing, chilling waves, Pikachu's head began to slowly turn. "Pikachu..." Ash said quietly. He tried to reach for the door handle, but instead found his legs slowly bending under him and he slid to a sitting position at the wall.

The last thing he saw was a wide mouthful of small, blood-caked teeth, then red, then nothing.

The TruckThe truck If you go to Vermilion Harbour in RBY or FRLG, you will see a small truck. It has no purpose to begin with, and is seemingly empty, but there is a way to look inside the truck... A long time ago in Lavender Town, there was a woman who lived with her daughter. The woman wasn't right in the head and acted strange. She would put her hand on the shoulders of people who passed through town and start to yell at them angrily for coming into the territory of the spirits. Marie, the daughter of the woman, was afraid of her own mother. She often got very mad and screamed at Marie for no reason. However, she would calm down and apologise shortly afterwards. But she started to feel sad about what she was doing to her daughter. Eventually it all went to her head. She and her daughter drove to Vermilion Harbor in their truck. The woman got out. "Look, Marie" she said. "I dont want to scare you anymore. I'm doing this for you." She hugged her daughter and locked the door. Very shortly, the SS Anne began to sail out to sea. As it came, the woman jumped into the water under it and was killed by the propeller. Marie was horrified and tried to get out of the car to get help, but it was locked. She was stuck there forever. In the games when you go on the SS Anne, there is a room that is extremely hard to find. In it, you will meet a pale woman who is almost skeletal looking. Speak to her and she will give you a HM, Saw. She will tell you that you can use it almost anytime. If you use it on people however, it will show a very graphic cutscene of your Pokemon sawing through the person. You can only use the HM once. Use it on the truck to saw the door open and it will show a picture of what's inside. The is a skeleton of a young child in the car. It will go into your inventory. The description reads "the skeletal remains of a young child who died long ago". Go to Lavendar Town and talk to the little girl who asks if you believe in ghosts. She will say "can I have that?" Let her have what she wants. She will say "its my skeleton. Thank you. Now never come to this town again." She will fade away. If you ever enter the town again, the face of the girl will come up on your screen. She will scream loudly, "GET OUT! GET OUT!" And if you keep going and don't leave, the power on you GB will turn off. If you turn it on again, The face of the girl will come up again. She is now a skeleton and screams "I told you already. Now I have to kill you" The screen will go red and a picture of your character's dead and blood-soaked body will come up. The game will no longer be playable and if you try turning it on, the picture will just come up again. "I suppose I just imagined the white hand on your shoulder" Did she? I think not...

YOURLIFEBELONGSTOMENOWA few years ago, after I had lost my Pokemon Red Version, I decided it would be a good idea to buy a new cartridge. After looking around for a few days on the internet and in used games stores, I found one on this site that I dont remember the name of. it was cheap, only $1 USD, so I decided to get it, since if it didnt work, I only wasted a dollar.

I ordered it, and then went to sleep that night. I had a very strange dream that night, I dont remember much of it, but I remember something about the game that I had ordered. I seem to remember it to be a scary dream, but I could be remembering it wrong. I waited and I waited for the game to come. I eventually decided that it wouldnt be coming, so he stole a dollar from me, whats that good for nowadays? Then, the next day, after two whole months, the game finally came. At first, I didnt know what it was, it was in a plain white box, completely unmarked. No address or return address, so I wondered how the delivery guy knew to come to my house. I opened the box, and saw the game inside. The cartridge was completely blank, but I suspected this to rowdy kids, as I did it to a few of my games when I was younger. I decided to try it out right away, and went to get my Game Boy, and put the game inside. The main menu came up like normal, and I saw there was a saved game. Strangely, it was my name that was on it, but I just thought that the person must have had the same name as me. As the game loaded, I noticed that it was at the very beginning of the game, which was strange, since it looked like the player had not taken a single step. I went downstairs as normal, and when I talked to the mother, I noticed that she had a name, which is strange in itself considering the fact that in Pokemon games, they dont give your mother a name. Stranger yet, however, was the fact that her name was the same as my real mothers. It was here I realized this was a hack, but thought that it might be a good hack, and that the names were simply coincidences. After this, I did the game as normal, going into the grass above Pallet Town, but instead of seeing Oak in the textbox, I saw the name of my grandfather. as I saw this, I was starting to get freeaked out. But stuff like this can happen. After we got to the lab, and Blue started talking, in the textbox, the name listed was the name of my brother. I was starting to get very freaked out by now, but I decided to play the game normally. Everything was the same, except for the names. Everyone that was named had the name of one of my family members or friends. I eventually got to the Elite 4, and this is when it started getting weird. Replacing Lorelei was my principle in 5th grade. Replacing Bruno was my former boss that had fired me. Replacing Agatha was a nanny from my childhood, and replacing Lance was a boss of the place I had just been fired from a week before. Then, after defeating my brother, instead of the typical Hall of Fame Scene, the room went black. Then, a textbox appeared. MYSTERIOUS VOICE: THANKYOUFORYOURCOOPERATION IHAVEBEENWAITINGFORALONGTIME YOURLIFEBELONGSTOMENOW

When this came up, I was very skeptical. I waited for the game to save, then I turned it off. The next day, I had some very important things to do, which would cost a lot of money. I called the bank to see what the balance was on my credit card. As I talked to the lady on the phone, she said that the account had recently been canceled. I told her that I did not do this, and she replied that I had indeed done it just the day before. I thought that this was very strange, and did not rest easy that day. After a while, I decided to call my mother. She answered the phone very questioningly, even though she had caller ID. She asked who I was, and I told her it was me. What she said next was very heartbreaking to me. She said that I couldnt be her son, because he was visiting her right at the moment. I thought her memory was fading, so I called my brother. He answers his phone without looking at caller ID, so I said that it was me. He asked if I was calling to rub it in. This got me curious, so I ask him what he meant. He laughed sarcastically and said that we got in a fistfight the day before and that I had won, giving him a black eye and a brooken nose. I hung up the phone without saying goodbye, and decided to get some rest. When I woke up the next day, I remembered everything that had happened, and decided that my name was useless, so I should change it. So now I have no family, a different name, and complete wonder over what is happening to my family.

UnownYou've heard of the Unown, haven't you? The black, letter-shaped creatures with big flat eyes? Have you ever wondered where they came from? The Unown aren't exactly Pokemon. They are spirits of people who died. Well, actually, they were killed. The killer was also murdered. A long time ago in Violet City, a girl named Anabelle had went down to the ruins of Alph to play. A middle-aged man lived alone there. She met him down there and he invited her inside. She went in and sat down at the table. Suddenly, the man grabbed a rope and tied Anabelle to the chair. He then took out a sharp skinning knife and... well, its a bit graphic but from the kind of knife he used, Im sure you can figure it out. He put her bones into a certain kind of liquid until they softened and blackened. Then he bent them into a shape resembling an A. He took out one of her eyes, flattened it and put it into a circular gap in the shape. After disposing of the skin and unused bones, he placed the A shape in the Ruins on the wall. This happened to many other Violet city residents, but different letters. For a boy named Benjamin, he created a shape resembling a B and so on. He eventually had the whole alphabet. In the ruins, the spirits of the children possessed the shapes. They decided to get revenge on the man and do this to him. They created the "!" and "?" shapes out of him.

You have a choice in HGSS: you are able to free the children and/or the man. If you have caught all Unown, put them all in the PC in Violet City, two boxes next to each other, and put a Jirachi that knows Wish and Doom Desire in one of the two boxes. When you select Jirachi, Wish and Doom Desire will be usable like HM's. If you choose Wish, the screen will turn white and the Unown, except ? and !, will be gone. When you exit the PokeCenter, there will be a group of children there. A little girl will walk up to you. She will tell you that her name is Anabelle, and that her and the other children were trapped. She will thank you and give you a key item called the Black Bone. The description reads "a black, curved bone that allows UNOWN to learn any TM or HM" However, if you use Doom Desire, when you exit the PokeCenter, there will be dead bodies all over the ground. A man with a knife will walk up to you. a text box will pop up. It will just say "hehehe..." and the screen will black out. A faded picture of an Unown that looks like the first letter of your character's name will appear for a second. Your DS will turn off and turn back on again and the game will be back to normal, but each time you visit Violet City there is a chance of this happening again.

Kagome, KagomeOur story begins at the peaceful, yet eerie Eterna Forest. You spot the Old Chateau, and decide to wander around in it. Who knows, maybe you'll come across an item, or even a Shiny? You go upstairs, checking every room. Finally, you reach the middle room, and out of the corner of your eye, you see the little ghost girl's sprite. You know that this is part of the game. But this time, something is different. Instead of her going twords the door as if she is exiting, she comes in as if she was entering. You decide to check this out. After the black loading screen fades, you walk into the room and see somethng that wasn't there ever before. On the opposite side of the exit, is a door. You decide to go through that door. What's worse, you didn't save before entering it. Anyways, as you enter it's noting but black. You try walking around, but you can only walk forward, not even back. No matter, you think to yourself as you move on. Finally, you reach another door. There would be no point in saving, since you can't head back. So, you go through. You see a little room, much like the houses throughout the game. But this room looks old, burned from a fire, and messy. You see a circle of kids, male and female. One of the girls gets up and walks twords you. A text box pops up. "Please play with us, even for a little time." Your expecting a Yes/No option, but there is none. So, your character sits down with the rest of the children. The children all stand up. "Today we will play" then there are Japanese characters. You know a little Japanese, and you figure out what it says. "Kagome, Kagome." ...What? Then, your DS screen goes black. You hear a shuffle soud. "We put a blindfold on you. No peeking! Giggle!" Then, a creepy 8-bit songs starts. It souds like something you would hear in a music box. The children then start singing. "Kagome, Kagome." "Please don't try to run from us." "Kagome, Kagome." "What games can we play, can you guess?"

"Before the moon sets again," "You can play with us until then!" "Kagome, Kagome." "Who is now behind you?" Then you are given a Yes/No option. You don't quite understand, and you pick No, hoping something good will happen. You then wait. ... ... ... "Nope." Then, the screen turns red. The song plays again, but more distorted. It hurts your ears like carzy. You try to turn down the volume, but it's jammed. Then, in the red screen, black words appear. "Sorry, but you lost." You hear an ear-piercing scream. You rush to turn off your DS. You manage to turn it off, but the song still lingers in your head. "Kagome, Kagome." "Children, you just lost the game." (No, you didn't read all of that for "the game", it's part of the song.) "You can't run away." "Kagome, Kagome." "Be put to sleep like the others."

Shadows Of AlmiaIn early 2008, The new ranger game Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia was released in Japan, coming 8 months later to the US. Many copies were sold throughout both copies, but there were 20 games (10 in US and 10 in Japan) that were slightly...different. These special copies were gold, and the sticker featured Darkrai's sprite from the game on a white background. Not only was outside different, but the actual gameplay was changed a little bit too. Things went pretty normal up until a certain point: when the player is about to enter Team Dim Sun's cargo ship. In the normal game, the player must sneak around the boxes without getting caught by team Dim Sun grunts. If the player is caught, the Admin escorts the player back to were the player started, and on several occasions, begging the player to leave Team Dim Sun alone. However in the different version, if the player is caught by a Team Dim Sun grunt, the screen will go black for a moment, as a Honchkrow cry fades in the background. When the screen is light again, the player will be seen lying in a pool of blood as big red letters appear on the screen, spelling "GAME OVER". there has been reports that 3 games like those have been found in the US and 6

in japan....so they are still out there...

PocketMonster IslandHave you ever been so mad at somebody, that you just want them dead? Then after you cool down, you don't mean it after all? Well, that happened to me. Here is my story. Although I don't have much time before they get me just like they got everybody else. My little brother was being annoying, and when I told him to stop, he ran to dad, saying I hit him or something. I got grounded. I was so mad, I ran up to my room, and got my DS out. I was gonna play Pokemon, even though I was grounded. I locked the door to make sure I didnt get caught. Thats when everything started. My Pokemon game started normally, but I started on some place called "PocketMonsters Island" when I knew I had saved in Lavender Town. Upon checking my Pokemon, their nicknames had been changed. The nicknames spelled out a message. I read "Who do you want to kill?" If I switched my pokemon, their nicknames would change to still show the nickname. This was starting to scare me, but, being angry, I wanted my little brother and dad to die. I walked around the island, and found out there was one of those trees where you walk through them and they take you to another part of the island. It was some land with nothing on it, except a sign that said "TRAINER TIPS: The Pokemon caught and the nicknamed given will be enough to make our desicion." I didnt know who they were talking about or what really, but I guess I had to catch a Pokemon. I went onto another part of the island and there was grass where wild pokemon would be. I walked through the grass, and a wild Ursaring appeared. I caught it, and named it Dad, as it was male. When it was sent to my PC, I heard screaming from my dad's bedroom. I unlocked my door, and ran into my dads. He was lying on the floor, dead. There was lots of blood and such. (dont wanna go into detail, ACC appropriate) I threw up, it was so nasty. STanding there, was a bloody Ursaring. Sudenly, something blue, looked like a ghost or spirit, came out of my dad, and went into the Ursaring. The Ursaring then was sucked into the DS I was holding. Suddenly, my person started moving without me hitting buttons. I no longer had control of my game! He went into the grass, and caught a Teddiursa. It was automatically named Colin, after my little brother. I didnt even want to go check, after I heard the terrible screaming. Suddenly, a blue, ghost like, teddiursa came through the walls and was sucked into my game. THen, I appeared in front of a PC. It went straight to Bill's PC. It showed the Ursaring and Teddiursa. They were bleeding and crying. Then, they were selected and there was an option to "Imprison them" Then, they were gone. The escape rope animation was used, and I was in front of the "Pokemon Prison" Now, I didnt know what the heck happened to my physcho Pokemon game, but I wanted to stop. I went into the prison, and saw a Ursaring and a Teddiursa in a cell together. When I went to talk to them, they actually used words. They knew my name, they seemed to know their names, and they knew their ages. Then, it hit me. My dad and brother had been killed in the real word and brought into the pokemon world to be slaved forever. This dumb game took advantage of my anger. Now, I have only 10 minutes before they come for me too. Nobody will believe this story, even though it happened. I will die, and nobody will remember me, or even think to check that evil Pokemon game. Oh look, they're here. Goodbye. "That was a document found on the laptop of the Shaffer family, shortly after they were murdered. We think the child that wrote this was insane, and may have needed mental help. The killer or

killers are still out there. More familys have been murdered since that day. And the first child always writes a document similar to this. All we find are the bodies, a laptop, blood, and a Nintendo DS with Pokemon Leafgreen inside. If the game is turned on, the child starts at the exact place they saved. Its called Lavender Town"

I'm waitingI turned the iPod on. A familiar melody started to play; the Lavender Town Theme. I knew every note, every pause in that song. I should, considering I listen to it all the time. My iPod said Id played it 332 times. I looked at the screen. 332 times huh? The song ended, I moved my thumb to press the rewind button, but I paused. Surely Ive listened to this song enough times havent I? I thought. Maybe... But one more time cant hurt. I pressed down on the rewind button. It started with those familiar four notes. But I could hear... something else. Turning the volume up, I listened hard... A guttural howl played just beneath the song. I had never heard that noise before... And there was something about that sound that made my skin crawl. Whatever it was, I no longer wanted to hear it. Switching the iPod off, I threw it down on the bed, disgusted. As I left for school, that noise was all I could think about. A few weeks later, and Id forgotten the whole howling thing. I went to my iPod in my room. It sat, waiting for me. Looking at the screen as I turned it on, I noticed something odd; the Lavender Town Theme, play-count 665 times. Thats weird. I didnt think I had listened to it that much... I jumped as music started blaring out of the iPod. I hadnt pressed play! The Lavender Town Theme - complete with the awful howl - wailed through the headphones to me... I tried pressing stop, but it continued playing. It was mid-way through the song now... I switched it off. But to my shock, it still played. I yelled at it in fustration. Just shut up!! I thought. Suddenly it did, the song had come to the end. But before it continued on to the next track, I swear I heard something else from the iPod; Im.... waiting.... in the same guttural tone as in the Lanvender Town song... I hurled the iPod at the wall. I couldnt sleep that night, partially because my Mom had grounded me for breaking my iPod, but mostly it was because of the voice I had heard... So now I didnt have any of my 8-bit Pokemon music. If I wanted to listen to some of it, I had to dig out my old Gameboy. It was a Saturday, I had nothing to do - considering I was grounded and all - so I decided to hunt it out. It was surprisingly easy to find. The Gameboy was sitting in a box at the front of my wardrobe. But now that I think about it, that wasnt the strangest part; the Gameboy hadnt been played in years, and yet it wasnt even the slightest bit dusty. I went and lay on my bed and turned it on. My character was in Pokemon Tower, surrounded by mist. Before I could do anything though, a sudden, unnerving, earsplitting howl emitted from the Gameboys speakers and something in the game lunged at the screen. I shrieked and tossed the machine to the ground. I shivered and hugged my arms around myself. It suddenly seemed colder in the house... Gingerly I picked the Gameboy up. There was a textbox at the bottom of the screen, this all it said; Im.... waiting.... I woke up for the sixth time that night. I kept having the same dream, like I couldnt breath. That something was suffocating me. Every time I woke up, I could see a shadow in the corner of my room. A perfectly round shadow, enveloped in gas... It had been a week since the Gameboy incident, and I hadnt been able to live normally since it. I

kept... hearing things, whispers. I couldnt quite make out what the words were, but I was pretty certain that I already knew what it was saying; Im.... waiting.... Along with that, I kept seeing things, just out of the corner of my eye... Nothing of any particular shape; just a purply black mass... My Mom worked late on Fridays, till 10 or sometimes 11pm. So I was by myself when... When it happened... I was watching TV, surfing through the different channels, when I accidentally flicked it to snow. The screen hissed and fuzzed white. The hissing was subtly changing though... Its pitch was becoming lower... Soon it was nothing more then a demonic rumble, but below that noise, a howl, like some animal... I switched the TV off and sighed. But, to my horror I realised something... The noise, the howling was still there... coming from the darkened hallway... Whos there? I yelled, trying to sound brave. Suddenly a voice from the shadows... Im.... waiting.... I almost passed out right there, but I stood my ground. Waiting for what? I asked. There was a long silence.... Im waiting.... for.... you.... I shivered. The temperature had dropped. F-for me? W-why? Waiting.... for.... you.... It repeated. So.... lonely.... There seemed to be a purple-black gas wafting out of the shadows. Why me? J-just leave me alone!! I yelled at it... Suddenly, the voice laughed maliciously. No. It said. Ive been waiting for you... But now I dont have to any longer... The voice took form. A Black ball, with large, soulless eyes, surrounded by toxic purple gas... It was with this gas it used to kill me... Or at least, kill my body... The Gastly dragged my essence - my soul as it were - back, into its world... My body was found, it seems, in my room. With my Gameboy, the volume turned up as loud as it would go... The Lavender Town tune playing... A song I am now cursed to hear for the rest of my existence... Its Gastlys song as it were. A song they use, both to lure, corrupt and imprison others. So long as my master has its song, I am bound to it, to do as it commands.... But maybe.... If I had someone else with me... a friend.... It wouldnt be so lonely... Wont you join me? Im waiting....

Too lateYou noticed our town on your way to the next gym, didnt you? You saw the huge tower you're in right now. You went inside, wondering what it was. You felt something wrap around you. You noticed you couldn't breathe.

You felt your bones being crushed. You collapsed as you began to die. You crawled away from the pool of somebody's blood you happened to fall in. You begged for someone to call an ambulance. You were unnoticed. You saw a body in the pool of blood. You recognised the outfit he was wearing, and the Pokemon that lie dead around him. It was you. That was your blood. You're in a grave. You already died. TOO LATE

9-11If you live in America, you should know what happened September 11th, 2001. It was a sad day for America. But, only few people know that it was a sad day for people and pokemon in the game Pokemon Crystal. Pokemon Crystal was released July 29th 2001 in North America. Just a few months before the tragic event. Few people witnessed it happen on their Gameboy. Those few dissapeared shortly after the release of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire in North America. Team Rocket crashed into Pokemon Tower on September 11th, 2001. This could only be witnessed if you lived in North Amer
