ONOMATOPOEIA

The use of words or phrases that sound like the things to which they refer.

Ex: Bang, pop, buzz

Fodder- food for animals

Shock- bunches of grain bound together

Guiney- a barnyard bird

Rhyme Scheme- a regular pattern of end rhymes• Examples:

Must take the shape of the subject matter

Does not need to rhyme
