A paragraph of writing in a poem. These paragraphs are written as clusters of rhyming lines in traditional poetry. Also known as a stanza.

When sounds match at the end of lines of poetry, it is considered rhyming (technically, it is end-rhyme).

The pattern of rhyme in a poem that is decided by assigning letters to the lines of the poem that rhyme.

To decide on a rhyme scheme, you…1. assign a letter of the alphabet to all rhyming lines of poetry, starting with “A”2. when you find a second rhyme sound, you start with the next letter of the

alphabet, “B”3. When you find a second rhyme sound you continue with the next letter4. And so on, and so on
