1. To Know some one

All it takes -

One spark

One moment

A careless thought

One comment

to notice someone.

All you need -

One habit

One trait

A secret shared

One common fate

to know the someone.

All it takes -

One dream

One fight.

A silent pact

One smile

to make someone special.

4. Poems by Nimue

All you need -

One bond

One realization

A decision made

One relation

to be some one's forever.

2. Looking back

Today when I look back

I see not you and me

nor do i notice faces;

All I see are emotions

at war ; at play ;

loving some ; few of hate;

Feelings having coffee

with those of others;

or dressing up

for unwelcome occasions.

All I feel is nothing,

not unless you provoke me

to test my limits;

or maybe just re-live

what it is to have feelings.

3. Let me

Let me help you please

to share your pains

Let me try at least

to break these chains.

Will you try at least

to let go of the sad cloak

Will you please

Allow our hopes to float.

Will you please

step out in sunshine

Will you at least

try to forge a smile.

Let me try at least

to hold your hands

let me for once please

take you to dream land.

Page 7: Poetry Collection by Nimue

Together we can

If you please

Just listen to your heart

or mine at least.

4. The corner bench

The empty bench in the corner

calls for people passing by

any one please,

just for a moment,

but everyone hurries by..

Before, mornings brought the bunch of old

sharing their wisdom

to anyone who asked, or cared

or sometimes making fun of each other

anything to pass the dawning boredom.

In afternoon, the ladies sat there close

waiting for the kids to return

boasting of the men folk at home

or passing the rumors, the maids told,

something to talk in and out of their turn.

9. Poems by Nimue

The evening was time when couples sat

and made their promises count

by talking of the days gone by

of missed hours , nostalgic songs

and of the love that was forever around.

The old are now dead, the kids moved to college,

new mothers do not come to the stop

and maids just stand staring at shops,

the lovers parted ways like paint

that made the bench a ugly spot.

5. Sacred hope

In the fraction of time

when eyelids meet

and open wide again

i whisper a secret desire

that you would hear me

deep in your heart

and send your smiles

to keep my hopes alive....

In the fraction of time

that passes silently

amidst lub dub of heart

i steal a sacred hope,

that you never will

part me from your life

and that my trust in you

will never ever be lost.

11. Poems by Nimue

In the fraction of time

when wind brushes past

making my hair fly

i cherish the feeling

of your cares and love

that always shows up

at most needed times

your sacred blessings.

I whisper this secret desire

to steal the sacred hope

of the cherished feeling

of your existence, forever.

6. Ashes of night

Each day, the same dream

I set the table with flowers

you bring in some fine wine;

I light the scented candles

you spread all over, the fire;

a cruel laugh rings in my ear

as i wake up to ashes of night.

7. Let Peace be found

Tears don't fall

no longer they do,

words don't collate

when i write to you.

Expectations shy away

feelings are enslaved,

fears reign my heart

emotions are encased.

Numerous thoughts flow

through the sieves of time

i cling to the past notions

as realities come out of hide.

Spare me from illusions

guide me some way out

help me make a stand

let peace be now found.

8. Take Over

paint it black

the memory

of the yellow flower

i loved so much;

empty from my sense

the smell of the

brown damp mud

after the first rains;

wipe off my lips

the lingering taste

of the first coffee

i had with my love;

shred into pieces

the yellowed pages

on which i first

wrote a poem;

Page 15: Poetry Collection by Nimue

And then i shall

let you take over

each cell of my mind

to fill it with stuff

that’s forbidden

otherwise.

9. Words that inspire

Few lines you wrote

May be fiction, guess not;

It was a trigger to my mind

and i write on same lines;

Your words seem to talk

to the hidden feelings i walk

as if i finally found voice

in thoughts of your choice.

Beyond the borders of space

some random lines I chase

to give me a sense of being

that I am not alone in this dream.

10. Feeding light

From shadows

the soul shines,

smiles,killing

the darkness

inside..

You hear cries ?

Check again

the once loved

ties,now they

crawl away,

touched by

your lies.

But the soul

smiles,shines,

finally I will

feed it light.

11. Boundaries

I at times

sit and wonder

where i draw line

in my words,

thoughts,

ideas,

any where...

Then I have

the task

to erase

those lines

and walk beyond

one less bond each time...

12.Thinking of you

I trace your initials with finger tip

on the misty glass, wet from rains;

Across this veil the world moves on

and i sit here,forgotten by all yet

breathing few hopes into my fingers

that trace and erase your name again

as if some miracle might bring you here

and I would feel your hands on mine

tracing my name onto your heart

with a whisper that will echo between

you and me;tied by love in the eyes.

The glass is clear;people stare at me

I smile back at them,looking for their pain

that I might write,trying not to think of you.

13.Yellow

a leaf turned yellow dry

the ugly veins revealed

branches let it free to fly

a leaf turned yellow dry

I picked it up passing by

it thought it was beautiful.

a leaf turned yellow dry

the ugly veins revealed.

bit by bit the leave fades

brittle pieces falling apart,

with my fingers i trace

bit by bit the leave fades

filling my fingers’ space

the leaf breathed his last.

bit by bit the leave fades

brittle pieces falling apart.

The remains I store in a book

to remind me how it will be

when I fly to another nook

The remains i store in a book

Hope you will realize that i took

lot less than what life gave me.

The remains i store in a book

to remind me how it will be.

14.Rains make a poet

"Little Kinchen want to play"is all I remember from years backa ruled sheet and pencil in hand.

The dictionary searched harddesperate to find unknown wordsand string them together like pearls.

It rained hard outside the windowI wonder if that's why I was indoorsbut i know that poem took me some hours.

It was just eight random linesto ask rains to stop and not returnchildren was so boring, so "kinchen"

I don't know why I never wrote againit never just occurred to me i couldand now each day i feel, I should.

15.Close

I could smell your love

and read the silence

riding your smile;

We were that close

for once and forever;

I could touch your dreams

and hold the unsaid

wish of your eyes;

Trapped inside the frame

we remain close forever.
