Tlre European Dilective 2005/36/EC is the relevant law on equivalency rn'irich consolidates the rules currently regulating the recognition of professional qualifications. Baseci urr the Directive, licensed Filipino nulses still have to take several units of nursing subjects in Belgiurn to elevate their credentials to be at par rvith the Belgian rrursing curriculurn. Filipino nul'ses are advised not to resign frorn their jobs in haste solely on the basis of the "sugar coated plornises" of recluiters of non-existent jobs in Belgitrrn.
