Podcasting helps students put a ‘face’ with the assistance that they receive online

Introductory podcasts establish who you are, your background, and your willingness to support and help the student through their academic progress

Students can download content podcasts to their MP3 players for on-the-go referencing. Content podcasts can also address common academic pitfalls.

Not the normal “You can DO IT!” sound byte

Podcasting can increase student engagement Students are listening to step-by-step procedures or review

sessions as they work through curriculum Podcasting allows you to convey the same message or bulk

of material in the same way to many students at one time Students can download podcasts to an MP3 player and refer

to the material at any time, in any place that they are comfortable or productive studying.

An introductory podcast establishes your intent and willingness to assist students through tone, enthusiasm, and accessibility.
