This is a mechanical material and air separator. Air & material come in the top of the machine while material drops out of the bottom. The air & dust are released out of the back of the separator.

HOW DOES IT WORK?This unit operates under negative pressure. This means the separated product never enters a fan thus reducing damage to the separated materials while reducing dust generation. This also allows for a large variety of different materials to be collected. Material sizes range from whole reject products to fiber. Air and material enter the top of the unit, and the air passes though the perforated metal screen. This screen is continually cleaned by the flat doffer. Material is deposited into the round doffer/rotary airlock. The round doffer expels the separated material from the bottom of the unit. The air and dust that pass through the perforated metal screen can be sent to a dust filter such as a MAC or Drum filter. (Please refer to diagram) These separators have been implemented in many different soft disposable goods production processes such as diapers, bed/pet pads, feminine hygiene, toilet tissue, and paper towels. However, these are only a few uses, and your application may be perfectly suited for this device.
