Program  Descrip)on

This  one  day  conference  will  showcase  current  evidence-­‐based  pracNces  and  programs  in  the  New  York/New  Jersey  areas.  It  will  involve  discussion  of  effecNve  leadership  strategies  that  promote  and  sustain  a  culture  of  change  by  transforming  nursing  pracNces  for  paNent  safety  and  improved  quality  of  care.

PresentaNons  of  current  evidence-­‐based  pracNces  (EBP)  are  explored  including  discussion  of  outcome  measures,  performance  improvements  and  advancement  in  technology  that  supports  effecNve  nursing  care  delivery.

This  program  will  enhance  parNcipant’s  knowledge  on  planning,  implemenNng  and  sustaining  evidence-­‐based  pracNces  across  the  acute  and  long  term  care  organizaNons.

Objec)ves:

1. Discuss  nursing  leadership  strategies  that  lead,  engage  and  sustain  evidence-­‐based  pracNces.

2. Discuss  current  and  evidence-­‐based  pracNces  that  promote  improvements  in  the  quality  of  care  and  paNent  safety.

3. Demonstrate  how  nursing  data  and  outcome  measures  transform  nursing  pracNces  for  safe  and  quality  care  delivery.

4. Discuss  and  share  learning  experiences  in  planning,  implementaNon  and  sustaining  EBP  projects  in  acute  and  LTC  organizaNons.

5. Demonstrate  current  technological  advancement  that  supports  evidence-­‐based  pracNces  (EBP)  in  the  clinical  senng.

Accredita)on:ParNcipants  will  receive  6.3  contact  hours  upon  compleNon  of  aaendance  and  evaluaNon.
