Like the gate valve, it is not well suited for throttling applications, but is well suited for on-off operation. BODY HANDLE RETAINING NUT DISADVANTAGES BONNET DISC STEM Not suitable for throttling (flow control) applications. Not always suitable for high temperature applications. Can be used for multi-port applications e.g. three way valves. Multi-port valves reduce the number of valves required within a system. Fast acting (1/4 turn valve). Low pressure drop when fully open.
