PLS ST Sand Trap The PLS ST Sand trap louvre is an aesthetically pleasing ventilation solution for dusty or sandy environments. The PLS ST double blade system
is designed to remove the bulk of airborne sand and dust particles whilst retaining reasonable airflow characteristics. The trapped sand and dust particles drain down the panel and egress down a slope at the base of the panel. A cowl is fitted to shield the slope from sight and protect it from the wind. The panels are manufactured from attractively curved aluminium extrusions in to a prefabricated panel system designed to promote ease of installation and maintenance. The system can also be installed as continuous line louvre system for structural openings where unitised framed panels are undesirable. A sand particle rejection effectiveness of 65-40% can be expected at face velocities between 1 and 1.5m/s. The double blade system ensures that there is no line of sight through the panel and provides maximum of 31% physical free area.
