Name of the entrance :- AMUPMDC (Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges) Stream and course :- MBBS and BDS Eligibility of the Entrance Test :– General Merit Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination, i.e. 10+2 or higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. As per the Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI) norms the candidates must have passed these subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB, Further must secure not less than 50% marks in PCB in the Common Entrance Test (Amupmdc ASSO CET 2011). BVP CET Medical 2010 will consists of one question paper. It will be set in English medium and will contain 200 multiple choice objective-type questions, 50 each on Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. BHU PMT

BHU-PMT (Pre Medical Test) is an entrance exam for admission in to various bachelor medical courses which include MBBS, BDS, BAMS and B Pharm from Banaras Hindu University. Admission to MBBS course is done through an entrance test which has two stages, PMT Screening and PMT Mains. Only those who qualify in PMT Screening can appear for PMT Mains for MBBS course. Admission to other courses like BDS, B Pharm and BAMS is through only PMT Screening.

BLDEUGET

Name of the entrance :- BLDEUGET (BLDE University Under Graduate Entrance Test) Stream and course :- MBBS Eligibility of the Entrance Test :- Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination which is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination. Haryana PMT is conducted by Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak for admission in all the affiliated private and Government medical and dental colleges. The entrance test will be of 3 hours duration consisting of a total of 180 questions. There will be 45 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. For every correct answer a candidate will get 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

HP CPMT

Name of the entrance :- HP CPMT (Himachal Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Entrance Test) Stream and course :- MBBS/BDS Eligibility of the Entrance Test :– Candidates have to earn a minimum of 50% aggregate in combined form in subject that includes English, Chemistry, Physics as well as Biology within the 10+2 Level or any of its equivalents. Candidates who belong to the reservation categories have to only earn 40%.

HP CPMT is conducted by Himachal Pradesh University for admission in both private and Government institutes for Himachal Pradesh as well as All India candidates. There are 5 medical and dental institutes in Himachal Pradesh in which admission is through HP CPMT. Of these two of the institutes that provide MBBS are Indira Gandhi Medical College and Dr. RP Medical College. There are three institutes which provide BDS Himachal Dental College, H.P. Government Dental College and MN DAV Dental College. HP CPMT paper will consists of objective questions from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany.

JIPMER

Name of the entrance :- JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical

Education Research Exam) Stream and course :- MBBS Eligibility of the Entrance Test :- A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB (40% for SC/ST). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.

It is managed by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It has a total of 100 seats in its MBBS course and out of this admission to 82 seats is through JIPMER entrance. Rest 18 seats are through nomination by Government of India and are selected by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi. Entrance Test will consist of 200 multiple choice Questions equally from English, Physics, Chemistry Zoology and Botany. There will be four options for each question and there will be no negative marking.

KLE UGAIET

Name of the entrance :- KLE UGAIET (KLE University Under Graduate All India Entrance Test) Stream and course :- MBBS, BDS Eligibility of the Entrance Test :- A candidate is required to pass 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English with atleast 50% marks in aggregate in PCB as well as 50% marks in English. Those candidates who will be appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 are also eligible to apply.

Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum and KLE V.K. Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum offers the course of KLE’s in both the MBBS as well as BDS Course respectively. For undertaking admission in either of the course, the candidates have to appear for a Common mode of entrance exam. The total number of seats offered for the course of MBBS is 150 while the total number of seats offered for the course of BDS is 100.

The KEAM Medical Physics and Chemistry Papers are usually conducted on the same day. The duration of the paper is two and a half hours. Both Physics and Chemistry papers will have objective type questions with Multiple Choices. Each paper has 120 questions. There is negative marking on the paper. For each correct answer the candidate is awarded four marks and for each incorrect one half mark is deducted from the overall or total score. Punjab Medical Entrance Test is conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot on behalf of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar.There are about 20 medical/dental colleges in Punjab for which admission is done through Punjab Medical Entrance Test. Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun Uttarakhand conducts the Uttarakhand Pre Medial Test and sends the mark sheet of the candidates. A separate counseling board has been constituted by the Government of Uttarakhand for this purpose.
