______________________________________Mass Intentions 2021

We are estimating that we will have 104 Masses in 2021 available for Mass intentions. As a result, parishioners will only be able to book one Mass. You may choose the 4 pm Mass on Saturday or the 10 am Mass on Sunday. You can combine several names on a mass intention. I hope that as we enter into 2021 we will resume our regular Mass schedule and you will be able to book more than one mass. If this does happen, there will be a notice in the bulletin. Return your request and 10.00 stipends to Sandy Yody at the rectory. Please list the following when you are requesting a Mass: The name(s) of those you wish to remember the date you would like, a backup date, and your contact information.

Pastor’s Column

Dear Parishioners,

We welcome Bishop Edward

Malesic who will be celebrating our

10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, October

18, 2020. We are grateful that

Bishop Malesic has chosen to visit

our parish. It is my understanding

that we are one of the first parishes

he will visit.

Bishop Malesic’s motto is to

“serve the Lord with gladness.” I

hope that together with him, we can

serve the Lord with gladness. May

this be a happy occasion for him and

our Parish.

Volunteers needed: We are in

need of one or two additional

volunteers to help with the

sanitization of the church after

weekend Masses and funerals. Right

now, Jim Armbruster and Anthony

Laboy handle this function. Anthony

will provide training for the

volunteers. Basically, the job

involves wearing protective clothing,

which we have, and using a paint

sprayer with chem safe a disinfectant

that is sprayed on the doors and

pews. There is no need to wipe the

chemical off as it dries in less than

10 minutes. The entire process

usually takes 25 minutes. Please call

the rectory at 216-641-8444 if you

are able to volunteer your time to

help us. We would call you on an

occasional basis if circumstances

prevent Jim or Anthony from being

able to perform this duty.

We congratulate Gianna Leffel

and Olivia Gindlesperger upon

receiving their First Communions at

our 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday

October 11, 2020. We thank Ms. Sue

McDonough who prepared them and

our PSR Principal, Ms. Judy Lasecki.

This weekend we celebrate

World Mission Sunday. Please use

the envelope in your packet which is

designated “World Mission Sunday” to

support this worthy cause. You may

drop it in the collection baskets on

the altar steps, mail in the envelope

or drop it off at the rectory.

Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen used

to say:

“Some people give to the

missions by going. Other people go

to the missions by giving.”

On this World Mission Sunday,

let us pray for the Church’s missions

through the world. Let all of us go to

the missions by giving.

Prayers and Best Wishes,

Reverend Robert Jasany
