Each day 10,000 humans are born in the US – each day 70,000 cats and dogs are born. As long
as those birth rates exist, there will never be enough homes for the pets
• By making sure that your pet can't have puppies or kittens, you'll have peace of mind that his or her offspring won't be euthanized in an animal shelter.
Approximately 71% of cats and kittens entering shelters are killed according to reports from over 1,000 shelters across America.

Approximately 50% of all dogs entering the shelter are killed
This includes puppies This includes purebred dogs
It starts with you
I can make a difference by myself
• I am only one – BUT I am one. I can not do everything but I can do something. But just because I can not do everything does not mean I will not do something I can do!
• It starts with me!
A Pet’s PrayerI ask for the privilege of not being born until you can assure me of a home and an owner to love me for my entire life. I ask not to be born until I am considered precious and not unwanted and discarded only to die.Written by Michelle Beezley
Your pet will not get fat from being altered only from too much food and no exercise!Walk your dog! Play with your cat!
Every year millions of dogs and cats end up in animal shelters because their owners have abandoned them. Thousands more become strays. In the United States alone the number of animals entering shelters is estimated at more than six million annually. In human terms that is the equivalent to the population of some of the largest cities in the world. About half of the animals that enter shelters are killed, because they cannot be found homes.
Millions of pet deaths each year are a tragedy—but it can be solved. By spaying and neutering your pet, you can be an important part of the solution. Contact your veterinarian today and be sure to let your family and friends know that they should do the same.
