Homework• Should take no longer than 15-30 minutes. • Reading/Spelling skills, sight words, Math

Home Link pages • Math calendar – 10 minutes or less / 15

Homework Incentive

Starting in October, your child will have the opportunity to earn a

homework pass.

At the end of each month, those students who have completed all homework assignments for the

month will be awarded a homework pass to be used at their leisure.

W.I.N.“What I Need”• Periodic meetings to direct the focus for each child

• May be used for remediation OR enrichment, depending on the child

• Title 1 Reading support will be provided during this time.

• Reading Specialist support will be given during this time.

• Assessments in September (and throughout the year) will drive decisions.

Class Mascot – Tom the Turtle

• Every Friday, a child will take Tom home for the weekend!

• The student will come back to school on Monday and share with the class what he/she did with Tom. The goal is for students to be able to write a few sentences on their own about their experiences, and be able to speak in front of their peers, with ease.

• Pictures are optional

Lunch Accounts Please send money in an envelope or bag

LABELED with child’s name and “Mrs. Stoddart.”

You can also put money into your child’s account using www.myschoolbucks.com. This avoids delays and confusion.

Students should have learned their lunch codes, and they will be paying for lunch in the cafeteria on their own.

Dismissal• Changes in dismissal

procedures should be written and sent in advance.
