Marianna Pregnancy Center Baby Bottle Campaign: you can pick up your bottles this week to
participate and start collecting that loose change. During the month between Mother’s day and
Father’s day, you fill them with loose change, paper money or checks. We will collect them the
weekend of Father’s day and the weekend after. They ask that no matter if you donate or not,
please return all bottles that are picked up. The pregnancy center will then collect all the bottles and
let us know how much our congregation raised. This is a great way to remind us of the fight for the
life of the unborn.
Committee Meetings: Wednesday, June 2nd 3:00 PM for Finance, 4:30 PM for Pastoral.
Catholic Compass: The Catholic Compass has been an essential part of our evangelization plan.
During these uncertain times, now more than ever, we need to reach the faithful at home. On April
20, 2021, a letter will be mailed to all registered households giving them the option to donate to the
magazine. Through the evangelization appeal, these contributions will offset what we pay as a dio-
cese, thus keeping parish contributions down.
Save the Date: The diocese will be hosting the 2nd annual Growing & Living Conference on Octo-
ber 2, 2021. This year’s theme, To Grow and Live in the Real Presence, will be centered around the
Eucharist. The conference will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fort Walton Beach. For those
who wish to participate virtually, live streaming will be available.
Hall Usage: remember if you use the Hall please let Father or the Parish Secretary know. Also,
what tables or chairs you take down, please put them back up. Thank you
Masses are being broadcast on Facebook, on the new Parish Facebook page https://

Covid-19: remember to social distance and to wear those mask. We need to keep every other pew
empty. Remember not everyone has had the vaccination yet, please be mindful of others.

May 14.

Altar Cloth: Our beautiful altar cloth is donated in memory of Rosa Nell Baxley by her children. She
passed on January 26, 2021. Rosa Nell was the last founding member of Saint Joseph the Worker and
lived a life of faithfulness and service. She was very active and served as an organist, floral arranger,
wrote and typed bulletins, helped clean the church, took care of altar cloths, helped organize church
meals and events, and was a Eucharistic minister to the sick and homebound. Rosa Nell dearly loved her
church family.
The Caring Coach Mobile Food Pantry: every 3rd Wednesday of the Month at 1:00 PM, Catholic Chari-
ties of NWFL will host a mobile food pantry here at St. Joseph the Worker. Looking for volunteers to help
out starting at 11:00. More information on the Bulletin Board.
Lay Formation Institute vision is to offer quality spiritual, intellectual and human formation to lay peo-
ple so that they are equipped to live out their vocation in the world. This program is geared to make you
a more effective disciple of Jesus right where God has place you in the world. The curriculum is focused
on sanctifying the cultural spaces outside the usual reach of the institutional Church. Those who are
passionate about bringing the presence of Christ to their families, neighborhoods, social circles, work-
place and local community are ideal candidates for this program. A new cohort will begin in August of
2021. If you are interested go to https://www.ptdiocese.org/layformationinstitute for more information
