The Girls Nite In Story
A Movement of Hope!
A girls’ high school restroom can be a
heartbreaking place! A place where spats
escalate, problems are unwisely hashed out
and secrets exposed! But, it was while
teaching at a public high school that the idea
for Jimmelynn Rice’s life-changing movement
that seeks to bring hope and healing was
born! Rather than
taking her break
in the faculty
lounge – Jimme
began hanging
out in the girls’
restroom. You will
learn a lot in a
girls’ restroom – if
you care!’
Purging, abuse, addiction, self-harm, sex, toxic
relationships, self-worth, divorce, anxiety, and
bullying dominated conversations.
Jimme could not get these girls’ stories out of her
head or her heart… and as a result, the
Girls Nite In International Movement was born!
Planning to open up the basement of her home
to 10-15 girls to address real-life, hard-core issues
in a structured format - imagine Rice’s surprise
when 55 girls showed up the first evening of
Girls Nite In!!!
Girls from 17 middle and high schools in the Indi-
anapolis area began to attend GNI! The group
quickly expanded to include college girls and
young moms.
Jimmelynn strategically assessed that ‘our teens do not live in a PG-13 world, but are trapped in R-rated and X-rated constantly. Our teen girls need
a safe place to go where they feel welcome, wanted, valued, and loved ®!
This Safe Refuge called Girls Nite In is a place where real struggles are addressed, guidance is
given - which will enable them to make wise choices - and empowering, life-changing Truth is
taught that will guide girls away from self-destructive behavior at a critical time in their lives
and decision-making process!’ GNI events offer a unique, strategic 3-tier men-
toring process where we teach character-driven
values and promote wise choices using Principles
of Truth. A powerful evening designed to reach
young teen girls and is offered FREE OF CHARGE!
More than 3,000 teen girls have been mentored
through GNI! Successful, positive, engaging wom-
en have joined TEAM GNI across the country and
around the globe as mentors and volunteers.
GNI International has launched affiliate groups in
Georgia, Illinois, California, Indiana, Ohio, Tennes-
see, Oregon, and North Carolina, Argentina, and
Nicaragua. Requests to launch the GNI program
continue to pour in from communities
across the world.
