What are “Smart” beads/coins

During & after domain read alouds, I will ask students a series of content questions, if a student correctly answers a ‘smart bead’ question, they get to wear a ‘smartie necklace’ ALL day. At the end of the day they turn in necklaces for a card to bring

home.

The second half of the year (after Christmas) students will be working towards earning smart

coins, which they will collect and cash in at our class store.
