PÔLE MER MÉDITERRANÉE
« SEA INNOVATION & BUSINESS CLUSTER »
EU Funds Week ZAGREB 10th february 2014
France Innovation et Pôles de compétitivité
Guy HERROUIN, Strategy
Key idea of the creation of clusters:
•
Creativity comes from the exchanges between
people in all fields: science, economics, ...
The new products will come of the meeting
between researchers and industry, between a
venture capitalist and a researcher,...
Hence the importance of networks of territory and
its organization for the knowledge economy.
2005: Creation of 70 French competitiveness clusters, among them 2 competitiveness sea clusters .
Both competitiveness sea clusters: Sea Brittany Sea Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur

PÔLE MER MÉDITERRANÉE & EU Funds Our cluster and its members have benefited from the efficient
support of European funds, using different programs
The 2 competitiveness sea clusters have the mission to better integrate SMEs into projects financed by the European Union
Our cluster got fund from the Framework Program as leader or partner in several European projects and ERDF program has funded the animation of our network
Our cluster has supported building the projects or positioning of our members on projects led by members of foreign clusters
Our members have directly benefited from EU funds:
ERDF ≈ 1.8 M€, MED≈ 0.8 M€, FP7≈ 20 M€
Pole Mer Méditerranée wish an efficient cooperation with Croatian partners
