“Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one

can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another;

the will tell of your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:3-4

WELCOME: We welcome each one who worships here today

in Spirit and in Truth. May our King and God rule every heart

through His Word. May our lives praise His Name every day

through the living and lifestyle that is appropriate for the

Christian.

Please join us after this morning’s service for a time of

refreshment in the Fellowship Hall.

Children aged 3-5 meet your teachers in the Narthex during

the offering this morning for Children’s Church.

This morning, refreshments for your enjoyment after worship

are in honor of Lloyd Kuipers, who turns 85 today! Happy

Birthday to Lloyd, and may God bless you for years to come.

ABOUT OUR MESSAGES

This morning, Pastor Drew will begin a short sermon series

called “Reformation Pillars.” 2017 is being celebrated as the

500th anniversary of the beginning of the Protestant Reformation,

a movement aiming at reforming the church according to

God’s Word. This is a movement we proudly carry on today.

The Reformation stands on five “pillars,” and we look at the

first of them, “Scripture Alone” through a collision of God’s

Word and man’s traditions in Mark 7:1-13.

This evening, we will be studying sacraments. What are our

sacraments? What does ‘sacrament’ mean? Why do we continue

doing them? Pastor Drew will be preaching from Romans 4:4-

12 on “Signs and Seals.”

PRAYERS AND PRAISES

Please be in prayer for a number of families mourning the loss

of relatives living elsewhere: Deb and Roland Bultsma and

their family, who lost Deb’s sister-in-law to cancer, as well as

Allis Hansum and family, who lost son Ron’s wife, Virginia,

at 65 to congestive heart failure. Lift these families up to God’s

comfort of our resurrected Savior, even amidst the grief of loss.

A few of our family members underwent surgery this week,

and we ask you to pray for their recovery: Lois Visscher,

Elmer Visscher, and Darlene Van Zee. May God be glorified

as they walk through recovery!

Thank you to all who offered prayers, goodies and notes/words of

encouragement throughout the past week. We appreciate all who

contributed to the building up of His “Authentic Community”

through the use of the tool of SERVE. Thank you for serving the

SERVants! ~Jeanette & Tammy

Another year of SERVE is completed. THANK YOU to all who

contributed to feeding the SERVants and Bible School children in any

way. To those who brought in food or other items we asked for,

worked in the kitchen, cooked, cleaned, assembled sandwiches,

delivered food around the country, washed towels, etc. - we thank you.

You made a very busy week enjoyable again. We are thankful for our

"authentic community". ~Harriett and Yvonne
