CH= Celebration Hymnal (Red) PH= Psalter Hymnal (Blue)

“My salvation and my honor depend on God.

He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in Him at all times, O people;

pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.” Psalm 62:7-8

WELCOME: We welcome you to our worship today. May we

all be richly blessed as we worship our great and compassionate

God through the name of His Son Jesus.

We invite you to join us after the morning worship service

for refreshments and a time of fellowship.

Children aged 3-5 meet your teacher in the foyer during the

offering this morning for Children’s Church.

Our cookies this morning are in honor of Ruth (Mel) Vanden

Bos’ 80th Birthday. Happy Birthday, Ruth!

ABOUT OUR MESSAGES

This morning: sometimes you hear people talk about “A

World as We Wish It Could Be.” In Acts 9, Peter encounters

two vivid reminders that the world isn’t what it ought to be in

death and sickness. How do we as Christians deal with

sickness and death? We witness our King’s power over them

and trust that Jesus is bringing what ought to be into the world

that is.

This evening, please join the community churches at Trinity

Lutheran Church at 6:00 PM, where Pastor Dave Anderson

will be preaching on “The Lord, Our Shepherd.”

OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS

Council Meetings will be held this Tuesday, February 27:

Deacons will meet at 6:00 PM with Full Council Meeting at

7:00 PM. Please note that the Elders will not meet again until

Tuesday, April 10 at 8:00 PM.

Caring Casserole Assembly: 9 AM this Thursday, March 1.

Two of the GEMS' classes are working on the Dolls badge.

In connection with this, we will be donating dolls and

accessories to the Mitchell Area Safe House. Contributions of

new or very gently used clean dolls will be accepted. They

cannot accept soft stuffed dolls- only ones that can be wiped

clean. If you would like to donate a doll and/or accessories,

please put in the container provided in the Fellowship Hall.

Spring Book Study: Throughout Scripture, the word

“covenant” pops up again and again. It’s a word we hear, but

what does it mean? And how is it relevant to our Christian

life? Understanding covenants in the Bible better can help you

understand the Bible better and then know Christ better.

Pastor Drew would like to lead a book group reading Covenants

Made Simple: Understanding God’s Unfolding Promises to His

People, by Jonty Rhodes, on Fridays at noon beginning March

16. Bring something to eat and we’ll discuss the book together

over our noon meal in the Family Room! Contact Pastor

Drew if you are interested.

Are you in need of a ride to a doctor’s appointment? Or could

you use meals or other items during a difficult time? Please

contact our Special Needs coordinators, Kris 337-3150 or

Jean 337-2368.

If you or any of your family members are willing to provide

special music, please contact Pam at 337-2414 or any

Worship Committee member. Thanks!
