“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.”
Psalm 27:4
WELCOME: We welcome you to our worship and fellowship
today. To God be the glory! And may we be richly blessed!
Please join us after the morning service for a time of
refreshment in the Fellowship Hall.
Children aged 3-5 meet your teachers in the Narthex during
the offering this morning for Children’s Church.
ABOUT OUR MESSAGES
Our morning sermon series, “Life in Exile”, continues
to Daniel 6, perhaps the most well-known scene in the entire
book. Living in a world at war with God, Christians can expect
to feel like prey for lions. Instead of keeping them from trouble,
God’s greatest works often happen right “In the Lion’s Den.”
This evening, Daniel’s example leads us to consider the
example of others who witnessed to God’s power by
faith. Hebrews 11:32-12:2 says of this cloud of witnesses
that “The World Was Not Worthy of Them.”
PRAYERS AND PRAISES
Please continue to pray for Teresa Bultsma, sister-in-law
of Roland and Vic Bultsma, and her husband Orville (a
former member of our church family). She has been diagnosed
with a fatal degenerative brain disorder and was recently placed
into hospice care near their home in Central Iowa. If you are
willing to send a note of encouragement to their family, the
mailing address is posted on our bulletin board near the
restrooms.
