Ivano-Frankivsk Regional state administration initiated and provided realization of the project ‘eurocarpathian initiative’ in order to strengthen and intensify International cooperation and create platform for juridical, administrative support of the foreign investors. It was created in order to secure realization of initiatives directed onto increasing the economy development in Ivano-Frankivsk region to the level of member states of the european union. Involvement of investment resources by combining potential of the region with possibilities of national and european investors was also highly important.
aim of the project – basing on the experience and support of the european partners make Ivano-Frankivsk region even more open and favorable for business establishment and investment promotion.

three national routes go through Ivano-Frankivsk region: Н18, Н09, Н10. They are connected with the European highway E50. Rout Е50 (France - Russia) goes through the northern part of the region, joining Е40 (Venice - Kyiv) and Е85 (Baltic Sea – Black Sea).
Direct railway connects the city of Ivano-Frankivsk (through Lviv) with Berlin, Budapest, Bratislava, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Minsk, Moscow, Prague, saint-Petersburg, sofia.
International airport in the regional center – Ivano-Frankivsk – may receipt all types of aircraft.

they are gaining professions to work in such spheres as law, business, engineering, medicine, pedagogic, art, transport, agriculture, tourism, and service provisioning, construction and architecture, geodesics and land planning, etc. the biggest ones of such educational institutions are - vasyl stefanyk Precarpathian national university, Ivano-Frankivsk national Technical university of oil and gas, Ivano-Frankivsk national Medical university. students from many countries all over the world are studying in those institutions.

International cooperation is actively developing in the region. two-side agreements about social-economic, scientific-technical and cultural collaboration are signed and realized with regions of Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Canada and others.
active pro-european policy is realized on the territory of Ivano-Frankivsk region. absolute majority of population in subcarpathian part supports integration into european community. one of the priority tasks of the foreign economic activity is the further development of the trading-economic relations with the countries of european union.
Due to dozens of realized projects in international technical support, strategic approaches to territories development planning are being introduced, environment for development of small business is being improved, works connected with increase of energy resources effectiveness were conducted, introducing energy-saving technologies, improving ecological situation.

During the last years region has hit top ten leaders among the regions of ukraine in ratio of innovative-active enterprises in general quantity of industrial companies and in proportion of realized innovation products in total amount of industrial goods.
