PLATE: A House is a place of habitation for human beings. A personalized house also acts as a symbol of the image that the resident/s need to portray. In your Major Plate, you are expected to design a 2-storey house for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) with the following requirements; Living room, dining room, den / office / study (optional), kitchen, dirty kitchen (optional), double garage, laundry area, maids room with toilet (optional), lanai / verandah (optional), Master bed room with walk-in-closet and attached bathroom. 2 additional bed rooms with closet space and bath rooms (can be attached or shared), Guest bed room (optional), garden space Your house design should respond to the context (which is URBAN) and Climate (Tropical). As an environmentally responsible individual, you are supposed to look in to sustainable housing designs and urban housing solutions, and should incorporate at least one design feature to make your house environmentally sustainable. SITE The site as given is located in an exclusive residential sub-division and has a total land area of approximately 800 sq m. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS 1. Analysis (site & client), concept, spatial relationships (bubble diagrams), spatial requirements 1 sheet 2. House Plans (all floors) Ground Floor Plan should be drawn on the site Scale 1:100 3.     OBJECTIVE:
