Is there a label on it?

Does the label peel off easily? If adhesive remains, it is OK, but object must remain clean and dry!
Is the label heat fused?

If so, you are good to go! Just make sure it is thoroughly cleaned inside and out and dry!
If not heat fused, you have a choice (easy to hard): 1. Throw it away if you cannot get label off! 2. Use scissors or X-acto knife to cut label off carefully! 3. Use heroic measures described on the cleaning tips page!
1. Make sure to store in very clean & dry containers, especially if there’s sticky label residue. 2. If storing where it is exposed to elements – use plastic bins with lids, trash bags with ties, etc. (please, re-use your bag – we cannot use them )

Cleaning Tips (Heroic Measures):
Things to have on hand for cleaning labels off of plastics: • Use a grease-removing type of detergent, such as
Dawn • Have a scrubber handy: such as an old toothbrush
or a wire brush • Useful: A safety razor, such as the type used to
scrap off window decals • A putty knife may be helpful, too • Soaking overnight in hot soapy water helps!
* Goo-Gone is sometimes helpful – well ventilated area
