It directly reads plan data from CAD drawing. CAD drawing consists of closed poly lines representing slab panels. After importing in PLANWIN module it appears as follow.

Intensity of load due to Dead Load & Live load is specified along with the direction in which load is to be transferred. (One way or two ways or on selected edges)

Columns can be conveniently located at desired locations. Where by cursor moves to each possible location and columns are marked either on joint or relative to the joints. Unlike other software user has complete control over naming the columns.

The AUTOBEAM feature identifies all the beams automatically along with self weight and wall loads.

Next floor analysis is carried out by which loads from slabs are transferred to beams and from primary beams to columns. User can click on any column and find out how the load is transferred from each beam as shown below

Also user can click on any beam and find out how the load is transferred to beams.

Depending on number of different levels, different plans are made and load for each plan is worked out. Next FRAMEWIN module combines all the floor depending on number of levels.

In all the currently available software size of columns are to be assumed. Here since load on each column from each floor is available, initial size of are worked out depending of grade of concrete and percentage of steel.

Also user can align the column along the beam line. Also user has option to specified constant face of column. (Many consultants prefers to reduce the column sizes along upper floors)

This also works out offset automatically. User has option to create shear walls by clicking between two columns.

Wind loads are worked depending on location of structure. Similarly seismic factors are worked out based on various parameters provided.

Now user has option either to create ETABS files (E2k) or STAAD file.

DEVELOPMENT has taken More than 25 years. During 1985-2000 DOS version QSII & QSLINK. DOS version won the Best Civil Engg. Software award from Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) in 1994. During 2001 - 2006 Windows version CAMP. Fromm 2007 Windows version QCPLAN.

DATA SYSTEM of the software can be any of the following:

A. For Central Govt. Organizations as per CPWD specs & rate analysis of 2007 B. For Private Organizations based CPWD specs & rate analysis but modified to the local

requirements. C. For MES organizations, selected specs. & schedule rates of 1996.

APPLICATIONS: PRE-TENDER APPLICATIONS.

1. Direct input or import of L,B,D or lump-sum quantities by selecting desired specs for any number of buildings.

2. Detailed quantity generation for about 90-95 civil items of buildings by graphical & numerical input. 3. View the abstract estimate of total project and its total resources requirements. 4. Change the rate of any resource and get the revised cost of the project 5. Provide indirect expenses of project for adding to rate analysis and total project cost. 6. Providing % wise overhead, profit, lift charges etc. for rate analysis and total project cost. 7. Printing abstract estimates in different formats. 8. Generate CPM based execution schedule with default data. 9. Modify the execution schedule to user’s requirement by changing the relevant data. 10. View resource & finance flow as per execution schedule and level the resource flow by changing schedule. 11. Generate CPM data in Excel format for importing it from M.S. Project / Primavera 12. Generate diameter wise reinforcement steel for RCC items with graphical and numerical details. 13. Prepare total tender documents consisting of tender conditions, technical specifications, schedule of

POST-TENDER APPLICATIONS.

17. Convert priced bill of quantities as contract items with unique number code for each items. 18. Assign contract items to main contract and sub-contractors and change the rates of sub-contractors. 19. Enter / import detailed / abstract site measurements as and when required. 20. Print the running bills and its summary for sub-contractors and main contract with part rate details etc. 21. Prepare Running Account Bill and provide reports as on bill date for cost and resource management.
