Plant Overview
Oldcastle Precast - Littleton, Colorado opened in 1968 to meet the pre-cast concrete demands of US Communications better known now as Qwest Communications. Since 1968 we have expanded our product lines to provide precast structures for the utility, highway, residential, commercial and government entities throughout the state of Colora-do.
In 1978, Oldcastle Inc, a subsidiary of CRH plc, a leading international manufacturer and supplier of building material, acquired the 5 Amcor plants in the rocky mountain region of Idaho, Utah and Colorado. Today with more than 80 locations, Oldcastle Precast is the largest precast concrete manufacturer in the United States. Amcor Precast recently changed its local trade name to Oldcastle Precast Amcor.
To meet a growing demand and provide the highest quality product Oldcastle Precast expanded its Littleton site to 86,500 square feet.

In 2006 Oldcastle Precast acquired Foothills Concrete Pipe and Prod-ucts in Platteville Colorado and in 2007 expanded its manufacturing facility to 52,000 square ft. Both the Littleton and Platteville manu-facturing plants have state of the art batching equipment, overhead cranes, and can produce product weighing up to 110,000 lbs.
Over 100 products may be produced in any one day. Products are manufactured using a mix that typically reaches design strength in 7 days verses the typical 28 day requirement.
All precast concrete products are manufactured under a strict quality control program. Our locations are certified producers of the Ameri-can Concrete Pipe Association and the National Precast Concrete Association. We have 10 crane trucks with lifting capacities of up to 28,000 pounds, and we deliver and offload products throughout Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico.

IBM Steam Pipe Replacement Project
Oldcastle Precast was asked to produce a vehicle access tunnel beneath a ski run at Pine Glade in Jacksonhole WY. The project, which consisted of 75 post tensioned precast cap pieces weighing 58,000 lbs. each, was produced and installed in 22 days.
Pine Glade Vehicle Access Tunnel
Oldcastle Precast fabricated and installed approximately 2,500 ft of trench of various sizes and depths to house and enclose a steam pipe replacement project for IBM in Boulder, CO. The removable trench cover also doubled as a pedestrian sidewalk.

We have extensive experience delivering structures up to 100,000 lbs. having various weights, sizes, & center of gravity con-figurations. We own and operate 10 crane trucks with lifting capacities of up to 28,000 pounds, and we deliver and offload products throughout Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Nebraska.
Every load goes through a multi-step accuracy and safety check process to ensure compliance with DOT Tie Down Specifications. In addition to Offloading, we also offer Setting Services for direct product placement.
