• Land plants alternate between gametophyte (haploid) and sporophyte (diploid) generations

What are bryophytes?

anchor gametophyte • Sperm swim through water

droplets or film of water to eggs • Sporophytes stay attached to

larger gametophytes • Spores that give rise to
