HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
PLANT ENGINEERING NIGERIA LIMITED places concern for the health and safety of our
employees and the communities in which we work at the forefront of our policies and top
management decisions. PENL will provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions
and will follow operating procedures that safeguard employees, contractors, vendors etc. in
line with providing health and safety programs consistent with the highest standards of
professional practice.
Our mission is to consistently return superior performance in our operations, growth and
profitability with clients’ confidence in service delivery.
Our objectives:
We will develop, implement and maintain management systems for safety that are
consistent with internationally recognised standards
Entrench safety as value for our people
Identify, assess and manage risks to employees, contractors, service providers and
communities
Strive to achieve industry best practice
Meet and where appropriate exceed applicable legal and other requirements
Set and achieve targets that promote the efficient use of natural resources and include
reducing and preventing the generation of waste and air pollution
Minimize the impact of our activities on climate change
Employees participation in Hazard hunt and elimination of workplace conditions that
may result in occupational health risk, injury or accident
Establish performance standards and implement risk assessments, inspections and
monitoring programs to ensure compliance
Achieve no harm to people and asset, zero fatalities, zero spill and zero LTI’s.
