Candidate recruitment
• Sources of qualified applicants:
– Lecturers graduated from NOMA master program (16 lecturers of FoE graduated from this program, 7 are doing their PhDs)
– Lecturers with research interest and experience in fisheries and aquaculture economics and management.
• Criteria for recruitment and selection:– BA and MS transcripts– Research experience and achievement– Research idea/ Research proposal– English proficiency levels
• Recruitment process– Announce for lecturers of FoE about the
scholarships: November 2014– Deadline for application: February 1st, 2015– List of candidate from NTU: February 15, 2015– Decision: March 15, 2015
Research topics
• “Incorporating Climate Change into Ecosystem Approaches to Fisheries and Aquaculture Management in Sri Lanka and Vietnam”
• Candidates develop research ideas/ proposals but the research topics should be relevant to Fisheries and aquaculture sectors, marine biodiversity, and coastal and marine ecosystems.
• Study site should be chosen at the areas affected by climate change.
