around the shores of Victoria’s Port Phillip Bay

and boasts a lively and cosmopolitan pulse,

with great shopping, buzzing cafés, immaculate

and sporting capital of australia. it has shared

top position of the World’s most liveable cities

on the basis of its cultural attributes, climate,

cost of living and social conditions. Known for

its notoriously changeable weather, Melbourne

can experience four seasons in a day. But, really,

it’s just another example of how it has it all!

TRANSPORTDriving around the city, you will find parking

is quick, easy and safe. Purchasing a metcard

will enable you to use public transport in and

around the city for just a few hours or all day.

Buses, trains and trams will help you get to

your destination in no time. there is also a train

line that runs directly behind the college facility

(surrey Hills station union rd).

We do encourage you to have a car which helps

with the transport of others (especially in the

youth stream), however this is not mandatory.

was launched in Melbourne. senior Pastors

russell and sam evans, along with a team

of people, relocated from adelaide, south

australia to establish a contemporary church

in the heart of the city. on opening night over

1100 people attended, with the church now

reaching over 6000 people throughout the

state of Victoria on a weekly basis.

Planetshakers city church believes in seeing

the potential of every person come to pass.

they have developed a range of training

programs and dedicate themselves to creating

a nurturing environment that will foster and

produce people of influence, who will then lead

others in every sphere of society.

at Planetshakers city church our main objective

is to empower a generation to win generations,

therefore our meetings, discipleships, music

and training are geared with that one objective

in mind. it is not only the call of the pastoral

team, but the call for every Planetshakers city

church member.

AccOMMODATIONMoving to Melbourne and away from home can

sometimes be overwhelming. Planetshakers

college does not offer accommodation;

however, we are more than happy to help you

find an appropriate place to stay in the city of

Melbourne. Most students tend to find housing

together, so please let us know if you are looking

for a place to live and we can point you in the

right direction.

you can expect to pay on average $120- $150 a

week for rent in Melbourne, please allow more

for expenses such as food, bills and transport.

it is also the student’s responsibility to find part

time employment whilst doing the internship.

three free working days are available for part-

time employment and we encourage this so you

can fund your living expenses.

build great foundations in your life, developing a heart and character

When i came to australia from america to do the

internship, i felt completely out of my comfort

zone. i just knew that i was exactly where god

wanted me to be, even if i wasn’t sure of His

reasons. from the first moment i stepped into

the college chapel service, god began to touch

my spirit in a way i never experienced before.

it was here He began to speak so clearly into

my life for the next six months. i really believe

there was such significance in stepping out into

something new and trusting that god would

reveal His plan for my life. and it was through

this faith and obedience that i can truly say that

my life was changed.

IMPAcTING TEENAGERS AcROSS ThE cITY WITh A MESSAGE OF hOPE

if you choose to be involved in the youth stream you will have the opportunity to

partner with ‘Planetboom’ in impacting teenagers across the city with a message

of hope. each week you will be the hands and feet of Jesus in over 30 local

High schools; coordinating events, special classes, school lunch time programs

and large outreach events. the high school ministry is a chance to develop

some amazing relationships by serving the community. outreach into local skate

parks, commission housing, and school renovations are a part of this. you will

also join an exciting team that will help plan and run youth events such as our

Planetboom camp, and Planet schoolies for those finishing school. you will also

receive a first hand glimpse into our friday night youth events at Planetboom

with over 600 teenagers, gaining practical experience in stage, sound, lighting,

and setting up and packing down venues. there will be many opportunities to

disciple, mentor and be a positive role model to teenagers. Dare to join the

Planetshakers college was instrumental in

preparing me for what i am doing today as a

youth Pastor. i found that in life everyone has

a choice to learn, serve, love, and worship god

with their whole heart. this was something

that i did not want to miss out on. i want to

REAchING ThOuSANDS OF uNIVERSITY STuDENTS FROM All OVER ThIS FANTASTIc STATE OF VIcTORIA

Become a part of the aMaZing planetuni team, and be involved in reaching

thousands of university students all over this fantastic state of Victoria. on a

weekly basis you will help coordinate and participate in our small groups and

discipleship meetings, helping with the pastoral care of our current students.

the university ministry is always looking for new ways of connecting students to

god, and we are wanting passionate people, loving interns that bring new and

creative ideas to the table! you will also become hands on in helping plan and

run uni outreach events held over the year, with the soul purpose of evangelising

and seeing people saved. Be a part of our annual planetuni camp, designed

to empower and impart to students. there are so many opportunities for you

in this stream, from street teams to dance, from photography groups to soccer

competitions. come and be part of the excitement. What are you waiting for...?

When i came to australia from america to do the

internship, i felt completely out of my comfort

zone. i just knew that i was exactly where god

wanted me to be, even if i wasn’t sure of His

reasons. from the first moment i stepped into

the college chapel service, god began to touch

my spirit in a way i never experienced before.

it was here He began to speak so clearly into

my life for the next six months. i really believe

there was such significance in stepping out into

something new and trusting that god would

reveal His plan for my life. and it was through

this faith and obedience that i can truly say that

my life was changed.

IMPAcTING TEENAGERS AcROSS ThE cITY WITh A MESSAGE OF hOPE

if you choose to be involved in the youth stream you will have the opportunity to

partner with ‘Planetboom’ in impacting teenagers across the city with a message

of hope. each week you will be the hands and feet of Jesus in over 30 local

High schools; coordinating events, special classes, school lunch time programs

and large outreach events. the high school ministry is a chance to develop

some amazing relationships by serving the community. outreach into local skate

parks, commission housing, and school renovations are a part of this. you will

also join an exciting team that will help plan and run youth events such as our

Planetboom camp, and Planet schoolies for those finishing school. you will also

receive a first hand glimpse into our friday night youth events at Planetboom

with over 600 teenagers, gaining practical experience in stage, sound, lighting,

and setting up and packing down venues. there will be many opportunities to

disciple, mentor and be a positive role model to teenagers. Dare to join the

Planetboom youth stream and you will never be the same!

at the nerve centre of the kids ministry team at Planetshakers, being trained in

all things relating to kids’ ministry. your involvement will include kids outreach,

kids conferences, preaching, puppetry, illusions and face painting, small group

leadership, administration, kids club involvement, and the running of Planetkids

services on sunday. a big focus of Planetkids is the pastoral care. Be trained in

visits, calls and the loving follow up of children. there is also the opportunity to

be a part of our 4 resource team using final cut studio, adobe after effects,

Photoshop, flash and illustrator to make resources that will impact children and

leaders across the world. Planetkids is leading the way in kids ministry, be part of

this amazing team today.
